Hubby has a Bender from Futurama one. Not good when we are out and about and he shouts 'where's my Bender hat?!' Gets some funny looks!

I look like a lobster. A sore one.

    Hope everyone is ok

Thank you everyone. I do have voices telling me that she died early just like parents and that I have done it again but I am determinedly ignoring them. On the downside they are shouting so much they have given me a headache.

But good news! My american friend and I play a silly little computer game together sometimes and they have just released cuddlies of the creatures from it. She has bought me one and it is currently on its way from California! This is a Beefalo!

    Go go go Georgie! :j

    Thanks Pyx! :D

It was never an option not to go. Despite my morning grumpiness and tiredness, I was looking forward to it....just needed a kick up the behind and some strong coffees to get motivated! :p

It was good fun and we had a laugh, got covered head to foot with paint and mud up to the eyeballs! But the most important thing was that ALOT of money was raised for a fantastic charity, and I did my Dad proud!

I think I found it easier than expected, which I was glad of! My Uncle used to run marathons and do fell running, but years of doing that have well and truely taken it's toll, and he's currently waiting for a double knee replacement. It's basically bone on bone, and going down hills (which there were a lot of!) especially really causes him pain. He hobbled round, but he is so competitive that I think he was annoyed he couldn't run faster.

It was made harder (but more fun! :p ) by the puddles the size of small tarns! :rotfl: Which of course we had to avoid, and to do this, we had to walk through thick deep mud. My shoes nearly got stuck at one point, and my Uncles came off and I had to put it back on for him! :rotfl: It was more like an assault course!

The funniest part was right at the end when we ran over the finishing line and this little kid got my uncle full pelt in the face with purple paint! One side of his face and hair was covered and my Mam and Aunty were in stitches and couldn't stop laughing everytime they looked at him!

I didn't do the dancing (party pooper lol! :p ) as I've got no rhythm whatsoever....my Uncle on the other hand, he loves dancing and was bopping away! He's game for anything! Apparently we're doing a new year dip in the sea and zip wiring next, which is cool! :j

Was so tired when I got back, so had a little kip, and now I've got my second wind!

Hope Am Dram went ok? :)

Melly, that tattoo sounds awesome, and has a lovely meaning behind it too. :) I'm considering getting another one, but I'm not sure what yet?
  • Most definitely not your fault WaS. :)
  • What fun, Georgie! That sounds absolutely brilliant and for such a good cause! Be proud of yourself!

Was - Cilla Black was 72 so certainly didn't die early. And definitely nothing to do with your parents. And none of them were your fault.

I am struggling. Got some news (nothing too bad) that's knocked me off balance and I'm not sure I have enough resources to regain my equilibrium right now. So now I feel sad and upset and alone.

Also, someone was stabbed in an area (don't worry WaS - he's alive) where I normally walk the dog and at the time I was out with him (the dog, not the guy). We always go down that way on our way to the park but for some reason I decided we'd go the long way round, otherwise we'd have been there at the same time. That's a bit crazy. Maybe if we'd been there, the stabby guy wouldn't have done it or maybe we'd have been stabbed.

ETA - that sounds fab Georgie.

  • Aw, hugs, code. No wonder you are feeling shaky, that is two incidents close together. You aren't alone, we are here. Can you give DA dog a cuddle and look at your choice of beautiful dresses for a while? Have you chosen one yet? (I say buy two).

  • Thanks WaS! I am proud, and was chuffed to bits that we got given a medal at the end! :D I've hung it up with my others!

Code, you must have had some sort of sixth sense or something that made you go a different way? Hope the person who was stabbed wasn't too badly injured. Our park was closed off the other day at all exits by the police as two teenagers mugged someone with knives. My Mam often takes a short cut through there when going to her friends houses, I've told her not to anymore.

Sorry to hear you're struggling :( Sending hugs ((((code))))

I am looking at dresses as we speak. I still can't decide.

ETA: everyone I look, I see more dresses I like but nothing is jumping out at me the way the green one does. Curses!

ETA (again): Also I'll look like a walrus in whatever dress I pick.
