Well, there's quite a few dark clouds, but every now and again there's some sunshine, so fingers crossed the rain holds off while I go and wish my Dad a Happy Father Day! :)

Had another row with D last night. He was being a moody sod again, so told him I wanted to go on my own today. I know he won't let that happen though as I do tend to be accident prone, and he'll be worried I fall down a mountain or something! I can hear him clattering around upstairs, so he's up, I think I would prefer to go on my own though, stubborn c*w (is there a cowshed one called that Pyxis?!) that I am!

Although technically, it should be called Stubborn Bullock! :D

I hope that you feel better today, katy!

Aw, hugs Melly, I really hope the case conference sorts things out for you.

I am thinking of you and your dad today, Georgie. I hope it is peaceful with some good memories for you.

Hope you won your raid, dragonette! WaSp is often awake at silly o'clock taking part in Minecraft tournaments. They all tend to be on american time.

Special hugs today for anyone missing their dad's for whatever reason and also for those who's relationships with them aren't quite what they had hoped for. Hugs to the dad's who wish that they could have had a card and cuddle, too.

Thanks WaS! :) Hugs back, and to anyone else who needs one today too. :)

Well, it stayed fair! It seemed harder going this time even when there was no wind and rain to contend with, quite humid though. Was lovely being up there again with him, and like I've mentioned before, it's a lovely peaceful place. :) ETA: There were loads of slugs out up there today and they made me think of you WaS! Go on and Hug a Slug!! :rotfl:

My Mam is off down to Colchester tomorrow to stay with her brother and his wife. He moved down South when he went to Uni and has been there ever since, so she hardly sees him at all, although they do phone now and again. She wants to go but she doesn't iykwim? She thinks the break might be good, but they're not that close (only brother left though) and his wife is abit erm....overbearing! Still, I think she'll enjoy it hopefully. I think she's most looking forward to the train ride as she's going first class, and you get constant food and drink! Last time she went on a train on her own was probably over 50 years ago!

Hugs Bluebell (such a pretty name btw!) x x Sounds like you're doing the right thing by being the bigger person and rising above it all, however hard that must be. Must be so hard not seeing your little granddaughter, especially when you used to look after her all the time for them. :(

It's horrible when you've got to live with your OH and he's being nasty causing an atmosphere. Why isn't he on your side? Can't he see what it's doing to you?

Peanut butter cookies great fully received, they sound really yummy! I'm gonna be awkward and ask for red tea....that's all I drink tea wise! :D

So sorry to hear all that. Families, eh? I know only too well how hurtful it can all be.

Rise above it, as you're doing, and hopefully in time things will settle and you'll see your grandchild again. :A

Georgie, so glad it went well. It's good that you've got somewhere you can feel close to your Dad.
    First Class train, eh?
Several years ago, when I made a weekly train journey, there was sometimes the option to upgrade to First Class for just an extra £5, which I would take advantage of. There wasn't any included food and drink on that route, though!
I can remember when even in Second Class, waiters in white jackets would come round and take orders for tea or coffee, followed by another bearing 'silver' pots of tea or coffee and pouring it into china cups. Sigh.
That was only in the 1970s. How things have changed.

Not got a lot of faith it will.
The flat next door which would have solved the problem of the noise, that they let the fastest ever tenants still aren't in 3 weeks later. The baby is due in 5 weeks and she's not moving in for a couple of weeks after it is born so really really hacked off and tired.
