Hi can I join this challenge please? I really need to focus and grow some willpower starting from this month. Only problem is that I am paid weekly so can't do everything on the 1st.

I'll add my targets in my signature as soon as I have worked out my DFD, etc. Thanks and happy jousting!

cybertortoise all you have to do on the first is have a plan of attack. Everybody gets paid differently so we all have to budget our own way.

Count me in shy spender! Will be back tomorrow to look at the challenge properly, but as someone with a degree in medieval history, this makes me very happy

I am going to try again so count me in for the tournament. I will follow my own system for SFD's as I shop for a few days at a time so won't have 20, am going to aim for 10 if that is alright. Also I have lunch out once a week and usually meet for coffee and chat once a week so I know I will spend more than £20, but will aim to keep them low spend, not have cake with the coffee!
I am only paying minimum amounts on my 0% credit cards and paying down my current account and home management account(for the bills) as I can see some progress that way.
My main area for cutting back will be food and household. I have gathered all cleaning products together and I must have 6 months worth, so I have made a carry box for the stuff I use and can take it anywhere in the house. I am using up all fridge, freezer and cupboard stores to try and cut costs in June, should be able to make a lot of meals out of them, Want to not have any takeaways in June as while not well recently have had quite a few.
I also aim to budget £100 for petrol.
I need to be accountable for my spending so will try to post most days.
    hugs to everyone

    NSD 1/3,
My mantra is After I ....I will. eg After I make my morning coffee, I will take my medication. Eventually this will become a habit,

Day 1- exciting! :D Have to buy a bus ticket though as we haven't got our car today, so won't be a SFD unfortunately, but I've made lunch for work. As it's not going to be a SFD I'm also going to do the food shop today and tie it all together.

Have a lovely day everyone! xx

Hello Turtles! I've missed everyone and I'm very excited to be back for June - I've now finished studying and I'm just waiting on one more module result before I've officially passed. I've also, very excitingly, got a new job which I'll start in the middle of this month, so it's all change. :j However, that does mean that I won't get paid properly in June, so it needs to be a frugal month with a bit of careful planning, as I'm also going to Devon in July for a holiday. So.... please see below:

    SFDs 0/20
    Lunchtime walks 0/20
    Guilt Free Treat 0/£20
    Weight loss:

Already DF, but aiming to remain so throughout the month - no dipping into my overdraft, which I haven't used in almost a year, just because things are tight! Will get back to my savings goals once I've sorted out June and been paid in July, hoping not to have to raid my savings too much. I'm also aiming to meal plan and cook more healthily, now I'm not studying and working full time, so I'm hoping for a healthy, balanced and frugal month as well as some nicer weather.

    <throws down gauntlet> :T

Hello, I was looking for the No Spend Day challenge, is this what it's evolved into in the (long) time since I last took part? Looks good, can I join please? I'm not in debt but I've chosen to make myself unemployed at a time when that's not an advisable thing to do, and it's starting to sink in that I'll probably have no money coming in after August...

PS what does NST stand for? :o

    Good Morning fellow Turtles!

Do we have our armour nicely polished and weapons honed to a fine edge?

Are we ready to attack this month head on and leave it quivering in our wake?

There was only one picture that I wanted to put on this challenge, and now, not quite a midnight post, seems the only time to do it.

Sneaking on at work so will post my full update later on.
Edit - can't post it from work
