NST June - Just Keep Jousting!
We are all battling money issues, be it debt or savings goals. We all face an opponent each time the wages/credits/benefits go into our accounts. Each month we prepare ourselves to do battle against the bills and fees and monthly payments.
Preparation is the key. Preparing for the battle is key. Knowing the opponent is vital. Knowing our own strengths and weaknesses is paramount. Think about what you have to face this month. What do you need to do personally to win the June Joust? What is your plan of attack? How will you counter their advance?
This challenge is your armour. Again, there are many different types of armour for many different fights. The tasks for this month will hopefully help you face your opponent with your head held high and your feet firmly planted. Will you let June defeat you or will you advance and make ground?
We are turtles. Turtles have their own built in armour. Did you know though that there are seven species of turtle and each has their own characteristic shell/armour. Everybody is different, everybody deals with these challenges in their own way. There is no right or wrong way. We share, we support, we listen, we cry and together we make it through, month after month.

The rules:
• This challenge will commence on the 1st June 2015 at Midnight and Close on the 30th June 2015 at Midnight.
• You will aim, through whatever means possible for 20 SFD’s. (Spend Free Days). That gives you ten days to plan around...as per usual emergency petrol is excluded along with medication and emergency travel funds - train tickets etc. (Again if you manage your entire food purchase on yellow stickers this is an SFD)
• Decide NOW how much you want to pay towards debts this month and pay it on the 1st - waiting until the end of the month to "see what’s left" will never work. Not got debts? How much can you tuck away now, today, right now, and still get through the month
• Put £20 aside for a guilt free treat/s. You decide how you spend it and what you spend it on. It can be just for you, it can be for the whole family or for a special friend. You cannot sit on the naughty step for spending this money!
• When is your DFD? If not DFD, when do you want to save what by? Some carry it in their signature but state it again, if you are new, let us help you with ideas and support
• Clear down the cupboards and stores – With the weather, ‘fingers crossed’ staying warmer, now is the time to use up some of the winter stores and make space for the summer ones. What interesting meals can you make? Will you share?
Please don't repost all the rules until the challenge starts! For now we just need to know who is in, and who is cheerleading, see, I even added a cheerleader section

I'm definitely in. I have a very hard month ahead. I have a roughly £1,000 shaped hole in my budget due to a very poor month at work so may have to accept I'm getting no wages at all. Not happy but not much choice. I agree and subscribe to 'the readiness is all' approach. I need to slash every cost that is not core for June. Have already paid off the min I can on the 2 cards so that's done. But it's going to be a very tough month so I will need all the Turtle power I can muster." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Hi can I join this challenge please? I really need to focus and grow some willpower starting from this month. Only problem is that I am paid weekly so can't do everything on the 1st.
I'll add my targets in my signature as soon as I have worked out my DFD, etc. Thanks and happy jousting!0 -
