Good afternoon fellow thrifty folk! :hello:
Happy Saturday,whatever your plans!0 -
I'm hoping to get #11 today.
Up bright and early this morning to put Hubert through his paces....it took me til 9 o'clock to get him presentable in donkey spanx, big nappy and his 'messaround' frock. We tried galloping...he found it tricky in hoofs, but was like a speeding bullet once his high heeled trainers were slipped on.
He's showing promise! :T
Now all we need is a slimmed down Igor to stop mooning about like a love lorn Womeo, get out of the kitchen and up on the saddle.
Igor, get thee off to the dressing room.
Two hours later he appears.Truss, corset, best lucky unmentionables, lucky socks and sock suspenders, jockey outfit in a subtle, manly aubergine hue, chest wig, jockey's cap and gold medallion.
With his beloved Tatjana by his side (looking as delicate as a flower in her TA outfit),he strides off towards the paddocks...
Meanwhile,Hubert has just loosened his stays and is settling down to a big fry up...
Now,come on boys,we really need to get to work.
The race is next week!
Panic stations........
And I haven't done a thing yet about today's barbecue...I hope that Cheffie has it under control.
Thank goodness he's the calm,unflappable sort.0 -
Cheffie,on a good day..... :eek:0

careful with the wording there Nargle Cheffie overheard and is now looking for a donkey to grill
I was thinking of recycling one of my prev outfits for next week...do you think my Columbia Rocky Horror costume is demur enough?
Been a busy kinda day but don't know how it's 3pm  took three boxes of plates / glasses / mugs to the foodbank for them to use for rehoming people then went out for a run with my friend, not sure how far we went but it was a good trot.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Hi all
I managed 2 more NSDs this week so I'm now at 7 NSDs0 -
Evening all! Sorry for not posting yesterday. Had a very long day. Work from 9am - 5pm, did a small top up shop at aldeee and bnm, cooked tortellini in tomato sauce for dinner, dinner with my hungry hippos, then off to friend's house to rehearse our song (I am in a ladies trio called Lux Dei in church). Didn't get home til nearly 11pm. Decided to make a PowerPoint presentation to go with our song. Didn't sleep til 2am. (By the way Thursday was NSD no. 8.)
Today was an equally busy day but a big fat NSD no. 9! I nearly lost the NSD as the hungry hippos thought the new Kay Eff See near my house has opened. They went to have a take away this afternoon, only to be told they had the ribbon cutting ceremony today but will officially open to the public on Monday. I was secretly pleased about that! So just raided the fridge and cupboard and made them tuna quesadillas instead and spent NADA. Feeling extra jubilant over the blessings in disguise.
Will be at work tomorrow from 7am to 3pm so it will probably be another NSD. The shops will be closed by the time I've done the hand-over. Fingers crossed."There is Life AFTER DEBT."LBM 2009 Total Debt £49046.24 Debt Free as of 27/08/20150 -

(Saunters in whilst the barbecue flames die down, the plates of pickled stoat kebabs pile up uneaten behind the hollyhocks and the NSD gang slowly get more inebriated. )
What ho, gang! Have I missed the fun and games? And where's Igor, wasn't he bringing this Tattywotsit tonight? What is she like? Will she fit in with the rest of us at Ennessdee Towers?
Oh, let me just chuck NSD number 9 into the Cauldron of Doom.....
kerri the Columbia kit sounds divine, but you might need to put a skirt on over the hotpants just till you get in at the gate, then you can lose the skirt and let it all hang out.
I see Mrs Doyle and Chef have come to an agreement. He will make the main wedding cake and Mrs Doyle will do some dinky little cupcakes for those who don't like fruitcake. She reckons about 700 should do it. Plus a few rounds of egg sandwiches. One life - your life - live it!0 -
What a throng of nsders we have...this barbecue was a great idea.Just pretend that it's not raining.....
Thanks Cheffie,I'd love another pickled stoat kebab with some burnt chipped potatoes and slushy peas...mmm,yummy.
Just keep the beer flowing....hic!
The entertainment will begin shortly with a conga line! :j
Igor is busy in the kitchen preparing the dessert...banana split à la cheffie
-take a banana
-peel it
-lay it flat on a chopping board
-split in half with an axe
-serve.
Voilà banana split with pink custard and chocolate sprinkles of course!
Igor, what are the chocolate sprinkles made of?
What?!0
