Brunch in theonlygirl's household has just finished - French toast with golden syrup. Slightly naughty but very MSE because I used up the loaf of white bread in the fridge that was best before yesterday and the partially opened skimmed milk. I didn't use oil at all, just a very thin layer of butter on each side and voila the family's slightly indulgent all time favourite breakfast. Now off to shine my sink and fly clean the garden before I go out for my weekly shopping."There is Life AFTER DEBT."LBM 2009 Total Debt £49046.24 Debt Free as of 27/08/20150

Yesterday was NSD #5 - and my 5-in-a-row which I can't believe I've managed so early in the month :T
It almost wasn't thoughThe DVD box set (5 disks giving a total of about 14 hours viewing) I was price monitoring on Friday continued to drop s-l-o-w-l-y. I was prepared to pay up to £3.74+p&p, and I saw it drop to £2.55+p&p which looked like an all-time low other than one very short-lived glitch a while ago. Nipped down to the local shops with OH (he wanted to check a few bits), and came home to find one of the competitors had either sold or removed theirs so the other had gone back up to around the £3.70 of the next cheapest. But then those 2 started a price war......
Went to bed wondering if it would get as low again, and got up this morning to find them around the £2.40 mark! Refreshed the screen at regular intervals and it kept dropping 1p at a time. Within the last half hour I did a refresh to find the one from my preferred seller had gone (presumably someone bought it), but the other hadn't yet shot up to match the next lowest price of £6+p&p. So I quickly snaffled myself a copy for £2.19+p&p. Means I've saved enough on this (£1.65, which equates to 33% of the max I was prepared to pay) to cover the cost (incl p&p) of another film and still have some left towards another :T
So today's not an NSD, which is a shame as I was quietly hoping to get to 6-in-a-row. I won't manage more than 3 next week (D/Deb due out tomorrow, another 'on Monday or shortly after' which based on last couple of months means prob Thur, and a regular card payment due out on Friday), but I think I could potentially manage anything up to 13 after that. I'll be happy with another run of just 5Cheryl0 -
