Slept so much better last night felling good for it this morning. :D
Another carboot planned for tomorrow, probably wont be as busy on a Thursday but looking forward to it all the same....beats cleaning smelly houses .
Under the stairs now cleared out as well as the loft.....going to look through wardrobes later ooh and DS room, a task in its self. DS actually quite keen to have a good clear out after selling one of his guitars on Sunday and some other bits and bobs he had hastily put together, he made a whopping £71.00, seems to have spurned him on. Still amazed at what people bought.......................
Well need to get a move on ....busy, busy day ..................:)

    DS 280…. CC 3,950 …. Mortgage £100,000 /£63,150 paid :T £36,850 remaining….Xmas Hols £30.00

Only DS room and OH wardrobe left to rummage through....have cleared out my wardrobe and been so ruthless any clothing not worn for quite some time or just to small then into the carbooty stuff it has gone, nope, no more holding on to things in the hope I will lose the weight and sqeeze back into them ;)
Food shop didn't go as planned, over spend by £15 bad....Aldeys selling bags of carrots, potatoes, parsnips and onions 25p wow bargain, also found kitchen lemon cleaner and toilet cleaner almost half the price of my usual brand 69p so happy at finding some good bargain buys for the future atleast.:D

  • Hi Safehouse, hope you don't mind me dropping in! I've read most of your diary tonight and just wanted to offer my support (if you want it from a Geordie :D). My Dad was an alcoholic and passed away 10 years ago from liver failure when I was 27. My DH also then developed an alcohol problem and I was truly devastated, thinking I would have to leave him as I didn't want my boys to go through what I did. DH actually then had a motorbike accident and sustained a Severe Brain Injury. It's not recommended as a way to give up drinking obviously, but as a result he hasn't had a drop in 5 years. Despite all his problems now, I still wouldn't swap him back for the alcoholic he once was.

What I'm trying to say (badly!), is I understand. Hugs Xx

Ooh thank you for your lovely message of support...so sad to read about your own experiences, sounds like you have had it really tough over the years. I hope you have now eventually came through the dark tunnel and out into the sunshine :D. Xx
  • It's the way it has to be safehouse. Addiction is an awful thing and affects everyone close to the addict, but unfortunately only the addict can do something about it. It's your job to protect you and your DS Xx

Another £30 made at carboot sale....£20 into mortgage pot £10 left to get me through most of the week. :T
Hate Sunday afternoons, this with football on tv= good excuse for OH to have a good drink, not that he really needs an excuse. :(
Found a gift voucher hidden in the back of OH wardrobe yesterday, it was for a day at a spar, full works massage, the lot, present from his lovely family for his 50th (why hidden I wonder) Well I should be thankful they didn't buy him bottles of whisky this time around lol ;). Apparently he does not have a drink problem, HE is just tired and desperately needs to relax  ......their solution and quick fix to help stop his drinking is to organize a day at a spar....Why didn't I think of that 13 Years ago? silly me!!:rotfl:
