Went to town today but no silly buys, Did spend £2 in bakers for homeless guy tea and sausage rolls, we see him sitting in the doorway every week it breaks your heart, his hands are so sore.So money very well spent, he was so great full,I almost cried. Anyway certainly money I wont miss. Myself and my DS have decided to make it a twice weekly duty, just makes you think how lucky we truly are.
Saved £7 on my usual lip liner when bought one from poundyshop and it marvelous. Also bought poundyshop body butter and very impressed, much cheaper than my usual brand so a good saving there. Also another little teabay sell has boosted my £2 a day pot to £152. My girly bingo night tonight, received another £5 off voucher last week so should only cost me £4 cheap night, as will be drinking from the free fountain, cups included. I will update later tonight if I have a massive win and pay off all my debts........

Another tiny win at the bingo last night £8 so in the pot it went, £2 a day now up to £160. Sold a purse on Teabay, bought for £1.50 on carboot and resold for a good profit and although I've put proceeds towards reducing my mortgage, I had forgotten about my Teabay fees, so I will have to sell few more items to compensate before I am invoiced. CC been abused today, was going to cut up last night and should have, nearly up to my spend limit and glad of it. DS needed to renew his bus ticket today, but guess what, yep he has spent up. Instead I am hearing the words "please mam can I give you £10 a week" ,he does like to play the poor student card, and it works every time, cant see me getting it back, I am thinking this money will definitely evaporate. Then OH decides we need a fan for the conservatory, I couldn't really argue as sooooo hot and he spends most of his evenings out there watching tv, so again my CC gets hammered. Spend no 3 again on CC nieces birthday pressy today................
Just a thought after writing this down seems my spends are always on everyone else hmmmm

My £2 pot growing nicely, my mortgage reducing slowly but reducing at least, my CC totally going the wrong way.
After writing this diary for some time I have come to conclusion that my main priority is my mortgage. I seem to be totally neglecting my CC and not taking it as serious as I should. I have almost reached my spend limit on my CC which I am glad of. The problem is I cant adjust my thinking and my mortgage is the always in forefront of my mind, I have given up on trying to put my CC first, I see it as an annoying extra. My head feels bogged down today, so think about it tomorrow. Its got really dark outside looks like a storm is brewing, ooh I love the rain, relaxes me................

Yes Skinny CC is 0% but even so I know it really is a stupid way to handle my CC debt, it’s like I have stuck my head in the ground when it comes to this CC. I have tunnel vision, with my mortgage, my home at the end of the tunnel. When I pay any money off my mortgage I get this great feeling of relief, like a weight off. Partner is really not on board with this, he is fighting demons of his own at the moment (another story, long story, novel in fact), and he leaves all the finances to me, which is a good thing, because he has no idea I have been saving to pay our mortgage off, I know this sounds deceitful on my side, but trust me I have my reasons. I will hit my spend limit on my CC soon, and I am glad of it. I have told the CC I do not want a credit increase and so atleast then I will have to face up to it. Oh sorry what a ramble I’ve had, you only asked me one question and on and on I went…………..

I had £250.00 left on my CC so decided if my OH and DS are ready to spend it over the coming weeks, and I am sure they would have, they are very much mistaken, had to get in there first so have used on car tax, advertising and NI contributions, so there we have it nothing left on CC. Also cut up card and made sure I did it in front of OH and DS, so made it clear I am not there as a cash machine when needed, might not be the best decision as regards to my spending on CC, but at least for now anyway I can concentrate on Mortgage, even if it is a much larger debt of the two. Deep down I know I won’t keep up the determined effort any other way.
Made a lovely Shepard’s pie yesterday, found the mince in back of the fridge, one more day and would have been past sell by date, potatoes and mushrooms almost ready for the bin so used just in time, surprised turned out to be a lovely meal. Made a lovely curry today and used half bag chicken pieces this time from freezer, left over mushrooms, onions and peppers from yesterday and curry sauce 26p from Mo**issons tasted really nice, no more expensive sauce jars for me. I have bought their sweet and sour as-well again 26p bargain, hope its as nice as the curry sauce. Today will be having a good stock take on fridge, make sure nothing is thrown out next week………
Looking forward to next week as ill have around £240 to pay off mortgage also should be able to get mortgage down below £26,000 by end of month can’t wait . Need to have good look around my house sort out some charity stuff and teabay items to sell.
Paid another £10 off my mortgage after a teabay sell yesterday.
I feel very positive today, hope it lasts............

Went into town this morning, met mama but didn’t have very expensive coffee as couldn’t stay long, and didn’t really want to pay £2 just for one coffee. Did have a few spends but all small items, toothpaste etc. Called in charity shop and found lovely summer jacket from Nexxt biggest spend of the day only £3 bargain…..
Sister in law text me earlier, she had heard I’d started listing on Teabay to get our debts down and she has had a good sort out of clothing for me to sell, very nice of her as she said she would have only taken them to the charity shop, wish my OH, her brother was as supportive. So with my Teabay items I have sorted today, should have some extra dosh to slice off my Mortgage  so just need to wash, iron, photograph and list ….yawn.
Bingo night tonight had no letter with money off voucher, so looks like it’s a full spendy £10 night, never mind might win a big one who knows ( getting money back would do....)
Looking forward to tomorrow can slice fab chunk off my Mortgage £220, then hopefully another £50 on Friday. If everything goes to plan and no big unexpected bills, then should have Mortgage under the £26,000 mark by 22nd July. Here I go again, wishing my life away....

Come to the realization today that when Mortgage is fully paid, I will have at-least £80,000 equity also, as property is worth around £180,000, this is surely an even better incentive to push every penny into it. I would like to leave my DS with something in the future, give him a good start in life. I wonder why I didn’t start this journey 20 years ago, so silly with money…. Best clothes, best holidays and nothing to show for it….unbelievable! I would probably be Mortgage free by now and saving instead for my future old years…….well 48 and now it hits me, but better now than in 10 years. So no point in regrets. Off to the bingo I go, with flavored water and sweeties in bag ….oh and text from bingo books only £5 this evening. Wish me luck.....................
