Right, at some point in the future we intend to sell our Spanish home and our house in the UK Midlands and buy somewhere on the UK coast/country.
We are willing to consider anywhere, but need to keep within budget, so does anyone know of a website where we can search on price rather than location?
Thanks!

I thought you could only search by locatioon on rightmove? What I wanted was something where I could put our top price in and it would show me all properties for that price anywhere in the country - I don't want to have to put a location in because I might miss one!
Spain was never meant to be a permanent thing; however we have no plans as yet to move, but we will know when the time is right - maybe two years, maybe ten!(AKA HRH_MUngo)

You need to move to the North East, perhaps Whitby and surrounding area. Sensibly priced properties, coast and country to die for and cheap beer.

Thanks GG. I'd go to the northeast like a shot, but my husband is more wary, he says it is too cold and dark and winter is two months longer. I have friends there too, in betwen Durham and Newcastle.
However, even he agrees it has the most stunning scenery. So it's not an absolute no....he does love Whitby from his fossil collecting days however....
hmm....off to take a look at Whitby on rightmove.....(AKA HRH_MUngo)

What is Saltburn-by-the-Sea like? Just spotted a terrific detached house with three beds and two ensuites at WAY below our top price! (Horrible windows though, but one can't have everything!).(AKA HRH_MUngo)

I`m about 15 minutes away from Saltburn. It`s not exactly a busy seaside place, not much there.
It`s not a patch on Whitby.
My personally choice would be Whitby out the two.Debt Free Date:10/09/2007 :j :money:0 -

Is that Middlesbrough or Easington -ish.
I like Saltburn but agree that it isn't really busy. Maybe that's why I like it. Saltburn has a good mix of facilties and good road/rail links. Probably a lot cheaper than Whitby too.

Yep I agree with Pobby prices in Devon and Cornwall are TOO high, so I would cross that off your list (mind you I'm being purely selfish - as the more 'incomers' we have the higher our prices go, pushing born and bred locals out of the market!!)I believe that I have the strength to make my dreams come true:T September Challenge £5 per day - £0/£150 :T0

Devon/Dorset border - there's a whole coastline of fossils that just fall out of the cliffs at Charmouth, next to Lyme Regis.0
