How will the economy be affected by SNP MPs; will it be for richer or for poorer and

Mhairi Black does indeed like chips.
The new MP's clapped.
They are scoffing subsidised food.
They took a few selfies in the chambers.
They have been billeted in a nearby hotel.
Some had a few too many drinks on election night.
It's all just too outrageous isn't it........
I seem to remember a lot of fuss about Milband eating a bacon sandwich
no-one complained but of course he isn't a 'chip on the shoulder' whinging SNP.
(I don't think Nicola came to his aid either)0 -

Am I complaining?
I thought I was merely pointing out how ridiculous these media stories are. Don't they have more pressing matters to report on than someone eating chips?
But if you enjoy this kind of story then fair play to you.0 -
so just the meaning of words: no actual substance
so it's presumably all right for the SNP to threatened to block the Tories from power
or to be rude about UKIP
but the sensitive Scots mustn't be called irrelevant
Do you have examples of the SNP treating the Tories with 'respect'?
I thought Sturgeon was very polite when she received Cameron at her First Minister's residence.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -
Well, Alex Salmond is an MP so I expect the pie shops in and around Westminster will be enjoying a healthy growth in sales for the next 5 years.0

We're pretty thick skinned up here you know. We'd need to be with folk like you who stereotype so easily.
So it's only the SNP supporters that post on here that are thin skinned.0 -

They are the ones with the power to actually implement policy and see this happen. The PM will be loving all this deflecting. It lets him off scot free ( pardon the pun ) when everyone is too busy considering what the 'minor ' parties are up to. ........
If you look carefully at the threads in mse you will find that there is a great deal of comment about different parts of Government Policy, much of it strong in its criticism.
Here we discuss another important issue. The large number of SNP MPs, each dedicated to the breakup of the United Kingdom, makes their actions in the HoC an important issue worth examining, and takes its place amongst the other matters. You want them to be ignored?
Depending on how others vote they have the potential to do harm to the economy and it is right and proper to keep an eye on how they go about their business. Their words and their actions and the consequences of them deserve examination.
As for the rest of your post, perhaps rather than the personal attacks you would like to defend the actions of your glorious SNP MPs rather than trying to deflect discussions onto the familiar SNP theme of dismissing all negative reports out-of-hand and admitting or condemning nothing.
I pointed out earlier that the MPs have to work for their constituents, so they had better get their surgeries up and running.
The Government of the UK works for all parts of the UK; I want to see SNP MPs working in the same spirit in our National Parliament, as instructed by the Scottish Referendum, not parochially only for the narrow SNP Agenda.Union, not Disunion

I am of the opinion that the behaviour of SNP MPs at Westminster will have no effect whatsoever on the economy. Or on house prices. Or anything much at all really.
Of course they will, it is a matter of how much and to what purpose.
Parliament will soon consider a change to the Devolution Arrangements for Scotland which will see a great deal more financial matters being devolved for the Scottish Parliament, and impacts on the block grant and other economic matters.
As I've mentioned many times, no doubt to the annoyance of the SNP supporters amongst us, it will tend to be a take-it-or-leave-it situation but it is not outside the bounds of possibility that the Scottish MPs actually have something constructive to say, or even something which appears constructive but which in the long run would result in strife. Such things have economic impacts which in turn affect other parts of the economy such as houses, jobs, taxes and so on across the UK.

Of course that's the case but it's important to have the word economy in the thread title so it stays on this board because the main protagonists don't want to argue about the SNP on discussion time and they'll miss each other.0
