How will the economy be affected by SNP MPs; will it be for richer or for poorer and

If that is the way they are treated then that is the way they will behave.
The EU referendum is significant in that if UK votes to leave the EU, and Scotland votes to remain in it, this is one of the conditions that Sturgeon has indicated would be a reason to again begin pressing for an Independence referendum.
I think if SNP are treated as irrelevant Westminster it will be contemptuous of the whole democratic process. An MP elected for Chichester is just as important as one elected for Dundee. To say otherwise discredits out democracy.
How exactly should they be treated as a minority party?
Let their votes count twice?
Give them love and affection?
Pay them higher salary?
Give them the best offices?
Do the SNP in Holyrood give such special treatment to the tories and labour in a similar way?0 -
Sturgeon`s claim that the SNP will engage in "grown up" politics didn`t seem to last too long.
Anyone who has witnessed the operation of the UK Parliament in action cannot but regard that remark as absurd. The UK Parliament is extremely juvenile, with a lot of shouting and vulgarity. Can the SNP be any less adult?

I never suggested any of this fiction. All I said was that MPs have equal value.
As to Parties they should be treated with respect. The SNP represents 9% of the UK constituencies and should not be called irrelevant.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. so just the meaning of words: no actual substance
so it's presumably all right for the SNP to threatened to block the Tories from power
or to be rude about UKIP
but the sensitive Scots mustn't be called irrelevant
Do you have examples of the SNP treating the Tories with 'respect'?0 -

I agree, the SNP will be as juvenile and vulgar as the rest of them.“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0 -
Yet another lets bash the SNP threads........
string, shouldn't you really be paying more attention to what the present gov is doing to grow the economy? They are the ones with the power to actually implement policy and see this happen. The PM will be loving all this deflecting. It lets him off scot free ( pardon the pun ) when everyone is too busy considering what the 'minor ' parties are up to.
All this talk of the SNP behaviour at Westminster is pretty crass too you know. Mhairi Black eats chips for gods sake!!!! It really is quite ridiculous. I think most of us here in Scotland are quite bemused by the interest in such trivial matters when there are pedophiles being protected!!!!
It's very, very tedious.....
You are aware that an MP's job is to represent his constituents? That's exactly what the SNP MP's are there to do. They are no more and no less than any other member of parliament.
Anyone might think you're a wee bit obsessed by the SNP.......
Fess up, are you Duncan Hothersall? You do have striking similarities.0 -

Equally show me some examples of the Tories treating the SNP with respect. Or does it only apply to the 'Rebels' having to show respect?
We're pretty thick skinned up here you know. We'd need to be with folk like you who stereotype so easily.0 -

if you were actually thick skinned you won't have posted that baby response
still remember the poll tax in scotland don't you?
The Tories aren't whinging about not being treated with respect but we all know how Farage was treated in scotland.0 -

Perhaps you'd care to furnish me with a valid reason why the poll tax was rolled out in Scotland first Clapton? Only if you can be bothered. I'm not in the least bit to be honest. You raised it, not me. Remember that. :-)
Show me where the SNP are whining? If they are is it in regards to stupid irrelevant stories being reported in the media?
Quite a lot of people don't like Farage, maybe we're just not afraid to show it. Not a crime to protest is it?0 -
Having read the very reputable Daily Mail article I have gleaned the following.
Mhairi Black does indeed like chips.
The new MP's clapped.
They are scoffing subsidised food.
They took a few selfies in the chambers.
They have been billeted in a nearby hotel.
Some had a few too many drinks on election night.
It's all just too outrageous isn't it........0
