Blogger competitions - is it worth it

All I am trying to say is that if any of the regular posters from here posted to say they had won a bloggers comp and named the blog, then we would all know that comp had be drawn fairly or know that compers were allowed to enter that bloggers comps.

I've won a few times from the fab https://twitter.com/tots100, really nice and never penalised me in any way for being a comper even on their chat parties.

Thank you BlueBella and Emella that's very sweet! I just wish other bloggers could appreciate how valuable compers actually are, without the traffic etc. there's no way most bloggers would ever get the chance to host competitions

Just spotted another blogger complaining about not wanting to give her prize away to the picked winner as their twitter feed was all just links to giveaways and a lot of her traffic had come from a comping site, unfortunately she had removed her post on fb before I could reply!

Which blogger was it? No point in entering her future comps if she isn't going to choose the winner fairly.

Such a shame! There are so many lovely and honest bloggers out there and it is a shame that the small number of plain rude bloggers give bloggers a bad name! Fair enough, if they find the winner has cheated - then of course they should choose another winner - but not all compers are cheaters!

Jaibaby had the best idea, we need a list of bloggers that are OK with compers entering and a list of those that are not.

A simple comment on the the blog of the competition asking if the comp is open to all is all it would take.

Mansey and Jaibaby - I agree too It will save us compers time and effort entering comps we have no chance of winning and it would save the 'anti-comping bloggers' from complaining about unwanted entrants!

There always have been and always will be dishonest people

I think the blogers should have been named and I would like to see how many "likes" they lose if every single comper took their name off their blog :eek:

I would like to see more bloggers being honest, as we would not have to waste our time entering their comp, I would much rather enter a comp I at least had a chance of winning
