Predictable behaviour on their part, especially with a robust defence and a remote court location from their base. How far away from Truro was the courtroom?
Have you filed for costs?Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

@Umkomaas,
Yes I filed for costs and I was awarded them.
I filed for postage and printouts but I was refused. Filed for unreasonable behaviour that was refused. Tbh it was like a day trip out for me
.
The distance is to Oldham, which is just north of Manchester. If they didn't fancy Manchester they certainly would not fancy Oldham, maybe a little too cold for them :rotfl:0 -
Who in their right mind would undertake a return journey of almost 700 miles, with over 12 hours of driving to try to recover ~£200? They'll never turn up.
But the chance they do take is if the case isn't defended, there's no need to do any driving - default win, cheque to follow (possibly). And there are all the 'folders' who do send a cheque.
Much easier and more lucrative than lying on the sofa in a onesie playing Sky Bingo and eating Pot Noodles every day.
A strong defence and a remoteness from Cornwall is a deadly combination though! Well done Fawkes.
Really interested in fuller details when you get round to publishing.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

@Castle, And people thought we had no fans because of the football

@Umkomaas
I was awarded costs for loss of pay.
I will add further details when I receive them.
I was trying to listen as best I could but was too happy to fully concentrate
Hope this helps
