They are neither a luxury nor a conation, they are a necessity which almost every women must use for on average thirty-five years of their life.0

Offer builders the opportunity to use NHS land for free, provided that the building comprises ground and first floor for NHS use, and as many further floors for residential or commercial uses as the builder can get past the Planning Department, obviously subject to provision of sound-proofing and security to ensure that public and private usage really are kept separate.0

Child benefit should have a cap
Child benefit should be capped at 2 or 3 children. This would stop some people having many children simply in order to get the funds0 -
Raise a small surcharge on all take away food and use this to clear up litter from roads, streets, verges etc.
Although not all of the disgraceful mess originates from fast food outlets, an awful lot does.
With councils reducing litter clearance due to cuts, this levy would provide jobs, environmental benefit and would reduce the hideous and shameful mess along our roads and streets.
The scheme could be tweaked e.g. businesses that could prove they were preventing or substantially reducing the impact of litter from their premises could pay no or reduced levy.
The scheme would have greater impact if penalties for littering were increased or even properly enforced.0 -
All bills that include charges for off-peak energy should have the relevant times noted on every bill and shown as GMT and summer time. This would encourage householders to save money by using appliances between those hours.0

Introduce a tax of 25p per kilo on sugar, butter, margarine, lard and chocolate and 25p per litre of cooking oil, and ring fence this money to go to the NHS. This would help to reduce obesity levels and would also pay towards their extra burden on the health service.0

If I am paid £100, I lose roughly 20% as income tax.
When I buy something, I am usually charged VAT at 20%.
So, the true cost of a £60 widget is actually £100.
This is double taxation.
VAT should be reduced to 5%, this would increase customer spending and employers profit, thus creating jobs.
The VAT cut is subsidised by cutting benefits to unemployed who should now find it easier to find a job.0 -
Many materials are not easily separable, hence go to landfill, cost councils money and thus residents. For example, plastic or foil are stuck to cardboard or paper in food wrappers; metal or foil are mixed with plastic for containers; all envelope windows should be recyclable with the paper.0

Ban Payday Loans and the like - either that or set a maximum APR of, say, 4x base rate which can be charged on ALL lending.0

A health regulation which states that all motorway service stations, airports, railway stations and bus stations have to provide a clearly marked drinking water facility free of charge. What kind of society do we live in, where a thirsty traveler has to pay for water?Debt £21,000ish (Down from £29,183 May 10)
Income £18,000 (up from £13,500 in 2010)
Proud to be dealing with my debts0
