Further clarification - when the mathematics is applied we would have a measurable, comparable, figure based on all contractual hours worked divided by, say 35hrs, per week to give a total number of Full Time Equivalent jobs (FTE). E.g. 100 x 17.5 hrs jobs would be FTE of 50 jobs, 100 x 45hrs jobs would be 128 FTE, 100 x 24hrs jobs would be 69 FTE, and averaged overall the 300 jobs in this example would actually be 247 FTE.0

Everyone should pay the same council tax for same band house
Why does everyone not pay the same council tax for the same band house, I have a G band house in Herts and pay double what my mum pays for a G band house in Westminster. There should also be higher council tax bands then H for huge houses, no matter where in the Country they are. All excess money should then go to reduce the deficit. I for >£5mill, J for >£10mill0 -
Spend Foreign Aid Budget on Physical Goods.
Instead of giving foreign aid money to corrupt Countries and the money not actually getting to anyone that needs it, instead make physical goods in the UK (mosquito nets) and send them abroad. That way the money has gone back into the UK economy and the people that actually need help get it.0 -
Overpaid Civil Servants
No one in the NHS except Drs should earn more then £100,000 per annum. It is absolutely ridiculous when you hear salaries for managers who only work 9-5 and they earn more then the Drs!
No one in a council should ever earn more then £100,000, they do not work past 5pm and do not work any harder then anyone else in a 9-5 job and do not in my opinion do anything to deserve that sort of salary from taxpayers!0 -
Benefits Card
Pay benefits to a special card that can only pay for essential goods. Food, utility bills, rent and clothing to be payable. Make it that it can not be used for alcohol, cigarettes or electronic goods. Children are starving because their parents spend their child benefit on a new tv!0 -
No child benefit for more then 3 children.
From today anyone that is not pregnant and has already had 3+ children will not receive any extra benefit for the 4th+ child. All existing children to still get benefit.
This culture that breeding gives you a comfortable non working life has to stop. All that is happening is a growing population of uneducated low intelligence people who will contribute nothing to society. It is unfair that working families limit how many children they have and delay having them due to family financial restrictions.0 -
Lets get the rates system sorted out so it's fair for all.
Forget the "Mansion Tax" just get rid of the current system and replace it with a local tax. Used in a number of country's around the world it means the more money you earn the more rates you pay regardless of wether you live in a hovel or a palace. A good starting rate in the pound would be 10p for pensioners and people on the minimum wage.

So much is bandied about regarding 'The Living Wage' yet the State Pension equates to less than half that, assuming a 38 hour week. It's about time our pensioners were given a fair deal.0

Exit the EU
Either we exit the EU or at least get control back. The UK needs to be able to control who it pays benefits to, who is allowed to use the NHS, who is allowed to live here and who is allowed to work here. We have to be able to deport criminals. We have to stop people coming here with no intention of working and just stealing benefits. We have to stop people coming here for free health care when they haven't paid into the system.0 -
Fund the BBC from general taxation - removes the need for all the collection apparatus, the massive TVLicencing database and would save all the collection costs along with saving court time currently spent dealing with prosecutions.0
