Indeed. However, their contention was that they didn't. It was the slogan they objected to, which of course was the desired result for the homosexual activist who ordered it.

    What a waste.
Really? I suspect that he wanted a cake...

    And a bunfight.

As I say, what a waste. No doubt there will be some pay off to assuage his hurt feelings and a fighting fund for ashers will be established. Groan.

If he'd only wanted a cake, he'd have found another baker and got over himself instead of taking his foot stamping tizzy to the courts and costing us all a wodge. So, mission accomplished, I'd say.

Marriage is a means of avoiding tax, and it's clearly neither simple nor obvious if there's so much fuss about it.

But surely civil partnerships allow the same rights as marriage, so why is it such a big thing to marry?

    As I said previously !!
....... I'll be waiting patiently now for the complaints/court cases to come rolling in from Orange Orders ordering cakes on the Falls Road for the 12th July and vide-versa....

You just know this is now a charter for vindictive a-holes to claim "discrimination" at every turn.

They'd have been better cancelling the order on grounds of Copyright/Trademark infringement... Bert & Ernie would be Copyright/Trademark characters....

Two girls I used to work with arrived home married (to each other) from Boston last year. Apparently they were awaiting artificial insemination when one took up with some lad. Now they're getting divorced and it seems the house that one of them bought a few years ago has to be sold and proceeds divided. Be careful what you wish for etc.

  • To be honest I am more worried about the EU referendum heading our way in 2016. I can see here, Scotland and Wales all voting to stay but England voting to leave and so out we go.

Well, today's antics will no doubt boost the No vote, although I'd say the turnout will be tiny, with only zealots bothering to go the polls.

Eu vote - I can't see a vote for withdrawal, but could you imagine the problems here? Either the border goes back to the 50s with customs posts et al. Or the south leaves, too?
