Underwriters assume the worst, so even if you think all 3 jobs are okay, they may be concerned you can't keep all three going, e.g. if any are zero hours or fixed term. It's like they stress test for 7% rates, which most economists will say is a long way away.

It's madness, as salary job is 1.5 days a week, paye 1 day and rest self employed. Been with all of them 10, 8 and 8 years respectively. Never been an issue, and all p60s/payslips /sa302 are clear and provided.

Just depends on your circumstances, my son has just gone through the process without a DIP via a financial advisor....
    Application received 18/5
    Valuation on new property 19/5
Text received this morning 22/5 to say mortgage application successful and mortgage offer being posted today, so they are not slow with everyone

AM077 - I received my Mortgage Offer on Wednesday after 8 weeks of waiting so hang in there.

It is frustrating and hard playing the waiting game but you will get there

Glad to know other kindred spirits have had better luck with NW than I have. Even the complaints lady was taken aback.
Broker is submitting an app with Woolwich as we speak.
A friend has a mortgage with nationwide with 3 jobs - obtained last month - I was unlucky I think.
As I said I am salaried, PAYE and self employed - all relating to music performance and teaching - and I always thought being salaried would help a mortgage application. Were I just SE for all 3 strands of my working life, I'd have a nationwide mortgage now
Good (better!) luck to all those awaiting news

I sympathise massively with the OP here... Nationwide were farcical for me - first requiring updated proofs, then rejecting the valuation as the valuer had dated it 2014, not 2015 (D'oh), then saying that the amount I requested was 'unaffordable' (despite DIP in place), requesting that I attend another advising session and resubmit my application for a loan amount that was one hundred pounds less. (Yes, that's right, £100 on a six-figure mortgage).

That being said... once the target exchange / completion dates got near - they were very good at putting the processing towards the top of their work queue, and faxing documents to my solicitor instead of relying on post.

So whilst the process may be painful... when it comes down to the crunch, they do pull their finger out :T

Thanks Marklee and I'm glad it worked out for you with NW.
We are now going with Woolwich as NW have done anything but pull their finger out for me, and right now I just want to chop said finger off!

Worth noting that Barclays will not count employed income in each job unless you have at least 6 months employment there.

They will also not count self employed income if less than 3 years self employed.

Be confident these issues will not trip you up.
