I've just had a look and currently the average time from application to offer is 9 days (I guess working days). So just over 2 weeks isn't bad at all really.

Good question. I'd be interested to know if any underwriting was done for a DIP with nationwide. I supplied all statements, ID, sa302s etc to my broker before. He did a 2 hour interview with all my addresses, credit report, bank statements , earnings, payslips etc before applying for the DIP

I have been waiting almost 8 weeks for a mortgage offer from Nationwide.

Submitted the paper work at the end of March 2015 then the application 'fell off' their system due to a glitch so the whole application had to be re-keyed and re-underwritten and I am still waiting!!

    urrrgh sounds painful.

Ours took a month (porting so all done paper no online keying by broker and no text updates) but we got there in the end and I was pulling my hair out imagining every worst case scenario!
