    Thank you voyager2002.

That really helped me a lot, I will definley be getting on to the MP next week, if this has not been cleared up.

    Do it now.

Why on Earth did you go to the trouble of writing such a long-winded rant if you don't actually seem to be that bothered about it? If you want this issue sorted out as soon as possible then you have to put the pressure on them as soon as possible.

If it turns out OK within the next week or two then just thank the MP for starting to look into it (assuming they have by then) and inform them that the matter is resolved.

It's not I can't be bothered callum9999, I have been emailing and calling passport office nearly every week for four months, the passport office and the councillor have told me to wait until next week for further information, however yes you are right I could just contact the MP myself and if the passport arrives, I can inform him it has done so.
I will put an email together for the MP over the weekend and get it sent off.
    See where that takes me.

Well I still have absolutely no idea why you can't just write an email in 5 minutes right now, but Monday is better than Friday I guess!

(And just in case you misread it, I wasn't saying you were lazy etc. - when I said you don't seem bothered I meant it in the sense that it doesn't seem to be concerning you too much!)

Well it is and has got to me the full situation, it is causing me a lot of stress and worry. It has made me feel like my money is going to be wasted and I am not going on holiday, so very stressful time for me.

I am writing the letter over the weekend as I want to include evidence in the email to the MP so he can totally see where I am coming from, and so he has all the information about my matter to.

I will update with all responses I have.

your applications obviously flagged up as suspicious for whatever reasons

there may not be a method to bypass this ??

not heard of anyones passport getting delayed like this before , maybe they have brought in addition checks if it flags up ??

As it happens, I was recently talking with someone who suffered a three-year delay in the issue of a passport. In that case the problem was political (a person who had upset a very powerful group), so these things can happen.

It's is gonna get done, I've not got anywhere with calling the passport office, and waiting for there non responses, so this is my last bit of hope now.

In any case, your MP should be made aware of the trouble you are having, since the MPs are ultimately responsible for the performance of the various branches of government.
