I test drove the BM2 325ci this morning and was severely disappointed. The interior felt nice but it drove and handled the same as my Astra and the power was about the same too.

I'm off to a dealer today to test drive the Auris auto. If that's no better I may just settle for my Astra

    But did the indicators work?:D

No, I couldn't understand how the indicators worked but they did seem to work as the owner had demonstrated.

It was in all quite a bad car. I told the owner if or such a large engine it was as slow as my existing car and his excuse was that the BMW is much heavier. It probably handled worse than my Astra and terrible steering felt very vague

On a more positive note the 1.6 litre multimode '07 Auris I test drove today was superb. Instant acceleration and very powerful. Good interior and a very nice drive. The car has full service history, 63k miles and selling for £5.5k. Is this a good deal?

I'm not the world's biggest BMW fan, but... "Same as Astra, worse than Auris"?

    C'mon, DM, you're slipping.
