Do you mean you actually claimed on the insurance or do you mean you complained it was miss-sold?Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Recently (12th May) got around to submitting online claim forms via the FCA website for numerous cards & loan I had with EGG from 2001 - 2011, I know, I know should have done this years ago but at least I haven't used a claims company! didn't have much info just a few account numbers, no statements etc..
My Egg card was transfer to Barclays in November 2011 so I address the claim to them.
They have sent me 4 or 5 letters already, with lots of different card numbers linked to me.
Including one letter that says they cant find any account in my name!?
They have also forwarded my loan PPI complaint to Canada Square operations.
Anyways, my reason for posting, had another letter this morning from Barclays stating that they are rejecting my complain as I did not complain within the time period and they have the right to reject as 6 year have passed and they claim to have written to me twice in 2014 giving me a 3 year limit to complain. I have never received any letters from them. Although they have send me a cheque for nearly £2k for PPI commission. Surely this is acknowledgement of PPI? I intend to take this up with the FCA but can anyone offer any advice or guidance should be aware of?

There is nothing wrong with having PPI. So, "acknowledgement" of that is not a problem.
Your PPI complaint failed as it is timebarred. However, the refund will be the Plevin ruling on excess commission.
The FCA do not handle consumer complaints and will just forward an interpretation of what you tell them back to Barclaycard who will repeat what they have already told you.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Thanks for the reply
When I say acknowledgement, I mean I didn't want PPI but had no choice.
I guess that's the end of the road then0 -

If you moved house and the bank sent the letters to the wrong address you can argue against the time bar. If you have not moved the complaint is overSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

Had an Egg card back in 2003. Made a PPI claim in 2012 which was rejected by Barclaycard. They stated that I had knowingly ticked the box on the website. Went to the Ombudsman but got discouraged and ran out of time to complete. I tried Plevin about 6 months ago via Resolver but it was ignored. By now I'm retired and have time to spare so I wrote to Canada Square operations who replied saying that it was not their remit to deal with it but would send it on to Barlaycard. Hey! Ho! here we go, I thought. This will probably go nowhere. Then Lo and Behold! 2 weeks later a reply from Barclaycard stating that the owed me compensation under the Plevin rules. I actually got more in interest than the original award. Total amount £550. Now the minus points: they deducted £61 tax on the interest payment but more importantly they didn't enclose my payment cheque. Has this happened to anyone else? I am happy to have got something in the end.:):)0
