  • I just got £300+ back from Barclaycard on the Plevin case. Previously rejected.:-)
  • Plevin Success!!!!

Sent PPI claim to Nationwide for Credit Card which I have had since 2003. Initially they rejected my complaint and implied in the rejection letter they were not going to investigate Plevin (claim was submitted after the new ruling came in). However I pushed back on them to provide full evidence and to investigate Plevin, they did reply and again rejected my claim (this time with evidence). However did uphold the plevin part and I got £3443!

Now waiting on a few other claims with BarclayCard, HSBC and Santander (Burton Storecard), fingers crossed
  • Sent in my Plevin claim template letter ( thanks MSE) to TSB. They contacted me 2 weeks later asked some questions about a loan i had in 1994 !! Said i wasn't told about the PPI.
3 weeks later i received a letter saying they had upheld my claim and also took the opportunity to look at all my loans and credit cards since 1994 and they found, as a result, 2 more PPI results had popped up so i get those as well.
    Total refund of £2645.33.:T:rotfl::beer:
I didn't expect anything from so far back as 1994. its well worth applying folks and takes less than 5 mins to fill in the template and a 5 min telephone conversation (for me)later on.
Totally gobsmacked as i wasn't going to bother 'cos i didnt think i could claim from so far back. !!
    coming into the light......

    Another Plevin Success....
With MBNA, through resolver, took about 8 weeks but received a letter today with the promise of £2100 to be paid to us in the next 28 days. This was an old credit card which was cleared in 2010 :T

I was gently bullied by a colleague to use this site to reclaim PPI... I wasn't going to bother.

    But I did.

    I've just received:

£800+ from Canada One (bought Egg Bank)
£3000+ from Lloyds for mis-selling on a credit card
£4.6K from Lloyds after a review of all my accounts (mix of PPI and Plevin)

Just over £8,000 which I shouldn't have paid out, but is now back in my bank :D

this really is worth doing, so if you're thinking about it give it a go!
    Total at 9th Feb 12 - £17,500  Now - £6,851.05
    Loan - £6022.05, [STRIKE]Card 1 - £3293.85,[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Card 2 - £2287.04[/STRIKE], Sofa - £825.00
    Wedding Pot - £0.00 :o
  • Boom, started a packaged bank account claim against Lloyds on Wednesday and just got advice it was successful and have just received £1352.17.

Lloyds have been very professional through out and a 2 day turn around is amazing.

What were you reclaiming: PPI on Mint credit card
    Who was the provider: RBS
How much did you get back: 12066
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman:letter
And then write your brief reclaim tale: From a credit card 1999 to 2009. We knew PPI had been added and wrote to them repeatedly to remove it. When it was eventually removed, after card changed to RBS and we never thought at the time,to ask for refund. No questions asked

What were you reclaiming: PPI on Natwest Loan
Who was the provider: Now Santander.
How much did you get back: 3924
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: letter
And then write your brief reclaim tale: As it was our first loan (1983), we were told we were more likely to get loan. No questions asked refund.

What were you reclaiming: Alliance & Leicester Credit card protection
Who was the provider: Santander/ MBNA
How much did you get back: 10066 Santander MBNA 4090
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: letter
And then write your brief reclaim tale. Both banks worked together to estimate refund, as no records. I only provided estimated dates I had card. No questions asked refund.

What were you reclaiming: M&S storecard
    Who was the provider: M&S
How much did you get back: 1270
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: letter
And then write your brief reclaim tale: M&S sent a letter saying they were changing conditions in card which we had only had for a short time, many years ago but definitely didn’t ask for PPI as we only signed up for a discount. They did call, and we told them someone on a till had sold it.

What were you reclaiming: PPI on woolwich mortgage 2002/2004
    Who was the provider: Barclays
How much did you get back: 1153
Did you get it back after a letterhead or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: letter
And then write your brief reclaim tale. We were pressured into taking it out, but cancelled it within 18 months. We were sent a detailed questionnaire to fill out, and they were the only bank to actually say, that they agreed they missold the policy, and they were very sorry. . (the others upheld our complaint)

    All done through Resolver
