allofushere wrote: »Hi there
I too had my offer from LTSB this week and I was confused about the total so rang them for clarification.
I asked whether the amount was purely premiums or premiums and interest. Answer: definitely only premiums.
I came off the phone, thought about it for a bit and posted a few queries on here, cos I thought I was entitled to interest as well. Soooo.... rang LTSB again and asked whether my card balance would change to allow for the interest repayment.
Answer: No, because your refund includes interest.
I said I had been told the refund was made up purely of premiums on a previous call. Second adviser told me this was incorrect and the gave me a breakdown of the refund.
Also... they had only refunded me back to Sept 2004 and I have had my card since 2002 so second adviser cancelled first refund amount and sent my info for recalculation.
So try calling them again as I think a straight answer depends on the experience of the adviser. And make sure you have a proper breakdown of refund and dates refunded from and until.
hope that helps
Thank you so much for responding! I too phoned Lloyds to check this, the first man I spoke to said it was just PPi premiums I was getting back and that I didnt pay any interest on the premiums, that went to a seperate account, but the second man I spoke to said yes I had paid interest on premium, but Lloyds were not refunding this, as per FSA guidelines!I also had credit card since Sept 02, but they have only gone back to Sept 04, so was told to copy any evidence and send it to them so I have photocopied all statements from then and sent them in!I even phoned FOS and got told that they should pay compound interest, but I would have to reject Lloyds offer and send it to FOS for them to deal with.Good luck with yours!!:D0 -

Hi, i have had so many conflicting conversations with Lloyds but never heard of the priority spreadsheet, i feel they do any thing to get you off the phone, if you dont mind me asking, when did you firsts send your complaint and is it for card or loan,

Hi
Eventually I’ve had a letter from LTSB informing me that they will indeed be upholding my 6 claims for bank loans dating back to 2001! I started my claims in May 2011, they then informed me in late August that they’ll be upholding my claims and last week sent me a letter breaking down the sum of each loan I will get back. They said I should get payment by cheque in the next 21 days. Extremely happy! It did take a bit of time and a few phone calls but eventually I've got there in the end! Phew!!
If it wasn’t for the MSE forum and the lovely people who are always on hand to help out I would still be clueless on how to go about reclaiming my money. Thank you all very much. :T

Bit of an update.
My loans have been calculated and the hold up is my credit card (hopefully because the interest involved is so bloody much :rotfl:)
Waiting for a call back when they have finished the calculations on the card (By Friday hopefully)
Then I have to wait for the figures in writing and then accept them.
Payment is normally within 2 days apparently, ie they will send out a cheque within 2 days and process the transfer to my account for the loans within 2 days as well.
Light at the end of the tunnel finally :jI'm a secret crime fighter0 -
