Hi all
Has any one had anything positive from citi.
I recently emailed the ceo i was contacted by customer relations who said Opus icobtacted them but they dont reply nor could i find the name of the ceo.
However the fos did tell me opus comes under the wings of rbs so i emailed the ceoand when i though iwas reaching somewhere i received an email from theur ececutive office that its nothibg to do with them i need this cc assetmangement co.
Im now wondering should i use one of those company and let them work for their 25%.
Lynk have you had anythibg back from b card. I havent had a chsnce to do catch up on the forum yet.
Congrats to all winners and morning
Hi Rae
Do contact the FOS back on this, if they said mentioned RBS, then I would ask if they would write to them on your behalf, they will not mess around with the FOS.
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

How much did you get back: £3610 premiums repayment, £6042 reduction of loan and £3587 reduction in interest paid.
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: one letter
And then write your brief reclaim tale
I sent in the forms from this website on the 10th of May, I received an acknowledgement letter saying they'd get back within 8 weeks. On the 10th of July I received a letter saying they hadn't made a decision and advised me to contact the financial ombudsman. On the 15th of July I received another letter confirming that they were upholding my claim :j They have said they will remove the ppi premium of £6042 from our loan, the interest so far of £3587 and also offered us a cheque for premiums paid for the amount of £3610 :j. We decided to use the money to repay some of the loan instead of receiving a cheque. I can't believe how easy it was and all for the cost of one stamp

Well done and Congratulations!:T:beer::j
Mine was hard work back in 2006/07 making a reclaim with Nemo and it went as far as the FOS where we finally won, so well done to you!:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi Rae, hope you had a great holiday.
Any joy with Barclaycard. Am afraid I've had absolutely no joy!! The was lovely, now not so lovely, Cassie was supposed to call me back last Wednesday to update me, she didn't!!
I rang them on Friday and again on Monday and am currently holding now for 15 mins on the phone for them.
Might have to email the CEO again, really not on, first they tell me lies, then they promise this and that and don't deliver.
NOT IMPRESSED:mad:
On another note I emailed Santander complaints dept 2 wks ago (after reading on here how successful other people were just by sending an email) regarding a finance agreement I had with First National which they now own, which the sales rep made me take PPI on. As yet I've hadn't even had an acknowledgement that they've recieved my complaint. This one is a real bug bearer with me as I know I paid around 1k on ppi on this. What should I do next??
No news from M&S now been waiting since end of May. The letter dated 16th June from them said they have 16 wks, I thought it was only the main banks that had been extended to 16 weeks.
No news from RBS, only the standard 16 week letter received from them mid June.
Got an acknowledgement today from the FOS regarding my D. Perkins storecard. Will be 4 weeks before they even get looking at it!
Good luck to everyone else for the rest of the week.
ps ; am still on hold at B/card almost 30mins now!!!!:mad:

i was told i could get the loan without taking out ppi
Is the ppi to cover for a few years, but the loan is still running when the ppi runs out?.
Front loaded means that the ppi is in effect another loan and goes on top of your loan with interest for the whole loan term,i assume they give you payments back every so often as a bonus? if they do then this is a rebate of sorts for the ppi you took, but the ppi is still on your loan and after a certain period the cover runs out,but the ppi is still on the loan to term with interest and you have no cover!!.0 -

Afternoon all,
Here's another update on my complaints......- Received an email from Black Horse on 26th July saying I would receive a summary of my settlement and a cheque for the rest due to me (after they had paid off my loan) within a week. Still hadn't received anything over a week later so emailed again and they replied saying that a letter and cheque got sent on 25th July!! Yeah right! So they would resend the letter and cancel the cheque and re-issue a new one. Finally received a letter yesterday to say that my loan is paid off and I will receive a cheque for £61.31 in the next few days.
- I spoke to Halifax Customer Services last Monday regarding my credit card settlement. They said that they had made an error and I would be getting £893.47. I questioned why the 8% interest was low and the lady explained that was because they go back through my statements and take the PPI off each monthly balance, if I would be in credit after thats taken off then I get 8% interest, so if not in credit then I don't get it. Something along them lines!! Anyway they have re-looked at my credit card account and seen that it is now clear so they will be sending me a cheque. They said within 5 working days so I should receive it tomorrow
- I sent my acceptance form back to Capital One so I should receive a cheque from them within a couple of weeks.
- Just barclaycard left to go. They said I should have a response by 19th September. I did email the CEO about 10 days ago, not so much about my PPI complaint but about letters keep being addressed to me in my middle name. I keep telling them it's not my name but do they listen. I also mentioned in the email about Barclaycard taking 4 months to send me a copy of my credit agreement and their Customer Services lying to me when the lady told me I didn't have PPI! Guess what he never responded to my email. So I resent it Weds and I got an automated reply basically saying he was on holiday! How ironic though, I don't get a reply when he is there and when he's not there I do get a reply!!
AND GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL STILL WAITING, HOPEFULLY YOU WON'T BE WAITING MUCH LONGER0
