  • Hi I need sme advcie please. I have a loan with Yorkshire Bank, i sent off the first letter dated 3rd November got a reply saying basically i was told the full terms and condtions and it is no ones fault but my own and that i should not be getting any refund from them. So i worte back usinfg a templkate form here and got a letter this mornign to say that they will not look at the compaint again and that QUOTE" i believe it will serve no purpose to enter into any protracted correspondance on this matter" Whate does this mean??

Is there any point in going to the Financial Ombudsman. I feel like they have swung it back round and that it was indeed my fault i signed for the PPI..

Some one please help .Many thanks

    cornflakegirl,
It looks as if this is their final reposnse, see if it says anything to that effect on the letter, if it does just get on to FOS as if their is no willing on their part to discuss it can go in your favour, as the whole point is to try and work out a route to solve the complaint.
I am in process of dealing with their sister bank Clydesdael and am expecting roughly the same response, on the first loan we claimed we didnt even know it was there, 2nd one again we didn't know was there, and also the box requesting the PPI wasn't even ticked by us, we have the original at home so it is easy to see from the signature of the bank person signing and our writing who actually ticked it!!
Thanks to all the competition posters.

    Hi,

Got a response today from Tesco saying that went they sent a loan agreement out to me that everything was in the T&C. Now i cannot remember this as it was 7 years ago. I took the loan out over the phone and have requested the PPI back on medical grounds. Is it worth me sending another letter out?
  • I took out a loan with Carcraft arranged through GE Capital Woodchester. Is Credit Protection Insurance the same as PPI?
  • hi, gt568
thanks for the reply, don't know how to use this site yet so sorry if i'm getting it wrong. I did sign saying they could act on my behalf, but it didn't give any info about cost, didn't think it would be that much. I should just pay i suppose, i may not have got anything if they hadn't sent the letter. Just makes me mad that people whom are vulnerable can have these sharks take the mick.
  • Mr Kennedy,

my PPI was took out 5 years ago and my bank paid it back, they said it was in the terms but i just wrote back to them. So persist, you never know!!
