Oh my good news-my son needed a wee table to do his homework and got one second hand for £20- chair and everything included.
Also a free single bed from a friend- so actual cost a bottle of wine. So room revamped for £20.
Other sons room I painted myself too and as I'd usually get someone in to do it I was chuffed with myself.
Not all bad news but October is gonna have as many NSD as humanly possible!!!
I also asked my boss for a pay rise. Currently doing a job 2 pay scales above what my job title is. Risk of redundancy looming makes me think this is unlikely but it's worth a try and considering I'm part time and worked 38 hours last week I think it's a fair request!!!! Hope boss agrees and approves pay riseMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
Great boundaries, with your son and with your boss! Well done
I hope your boss comes through with that extra money.

So today did a weeks food shop for £50.
Now I definitely won't stop in at any shops this week but what about the hubby!!!!! It's more like a habit than a necessity for him. Filled in another 7 bricks in my excel house because I haven't filled it in for a while. Each brick represents £500 and last time I filled it in was 18/05
And I've split the house into 2 levels so I know when I reach half way!!!!! I'm so sadly excited by this. Next time I do it, I might split it into quarters!Mortgage balance Feb 2015 start of MFW Journey-£245316.06/Aim to be mortgage neutral 2022 — Target for May 2024 14 Year Target Balance MF50 = £89,535 — Mortgage Balance £106, 000—Target for May 2024! £89,535
