Ug, I'm rubbish with attachments and uploads here - I can do it on other forums, and on my blogs, but not here.

Is the £8k in 8 months on track? If there's a shortfall, have you got plans? Excited readers want to know :)

Karmacat, thanks for making me think about this and check I was on track.

So I have a regular overpayment set up and this makes my credit to capital £950 a month. I need to make sure I move the extra credit to my mortgage balance rather than leaving in the offset mortgage account.

My brother owes me money and is paying me £100ish a month. I'll transfer this to my mortgage.

Knowing that Xmas will put a big spanner in the works- I'm also aiming for as many NSDs as possible. Every NSD I'll transfer £5 to my offset savings account and transfer to my mortgage at the end of the month.

I wanna smash the 19 year target but I don't think I'll make my 14 year target as detailed in my first 2 posts on this thread.

Won an award in work today which I can get £20 worth of vouchers for.

I'm going to get boots vouchers to buy Xmas presents and then transfer the £20 to the mortgage! Now that is discipline from me for a change!

Check out this if you would rent a room out in your house as a holiday let. I might do this when my kids are a bit older.

I can't do it at the moment because my spare bedroom is a counselling room (and I have burnout, fatigue etc! and don't want people in the house). But I know several people who do it successfully, a few on here - one has young kids and sleeps in their room when she has an airbnb peep, another has just started and has had a young family staying. Search airbnb on here :) good luck!

    Hi Firegirl,

You may feel your more off the wagon than on, but your doing great still! Sorry about the redundancy things, I went through the same in Jan, at risk is horrid as its all unknown! Loads of staff left the company so no one ended up being made redundant thank goodness, hopefully will be the same for you!

Thanks for your kind words Jodie's

I can't believe I'm close to paying of 10k since starting this journey in feb this year.

The up side of possible redundancy is that everyone is boycotting the Xmas night out so that will save me a bit of cash!!
