I find sainsbobs very good for organic. And the price is reasonable
organic bread for example is the same price as sada normal bread
We mostly make our own bread (bread machine) but buying organic bread flour is getting more difficult. Ts seem to have stopped a lot of the organic range they did. Last lot we got was from a food co-op with friends, (not the Co-op). When we are lazy we buy from a local baker but it cost's a fortune for a loaf.
DD3 used to eat it ok but is super fussy now so I buy whatever I can get whoopsied for her. I gave up battling with her.
DD1 has a Sainsbob local to her and I notice she buys organic for Teeny so something must have made her think.0 -
Hi all, just had a scan back and noticed some talk of the jeramiah weed glasses. I got a set of 4 with lids and straws from Aldi last week for £4.99, not sure if they are available nationally or not. The kids love them.
Did you miss the glitch from barsupermarket. 24 glasses for £4. Although no lids or straws with them!0 -

I had planned a very MSE night away and the vouchers were to pay the food and wine. We still did it but as an MSE it stuck in my throat. Silly I know xx
Not sure what went on here but I ordered one and got one...I guess if you ordered multiples and took the rise...

Afternoon
I managed to get a till spit for £18 off a £60 online shop in Sainsbo last week. Nipped in for a butty and didn't have my nectar card with me.
It stated on it it couldn't be used on spirits, liqueurs or the 25% off wine promotion. I thought I'd try ordering £10 meal deals with wine to see what happened....
It all worked online and both the meal deal discount and the wine discount came off and sure enough my order has been delivered and it worked
Not sure I understand the way the discounts are worked outbut I only paid what I expected to so I'm happy. The wine I got alone would have been £42 full price

Good morning all nice and sunny today
Just caught up and noticed that people were talking about weed killer:(
people are buying this stuff without giving a moments thought as to what is in the stuff
The contents of most weed killers are carcinogenic and very bad for you. The main one that people are buying stays in the soil for years
I have known the dangers of this stuff for years but the media picks up on it now and then.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3015329/Cancer-alert-chemical-Roundup-weedkiller.html
If you are thinking of using the weed killers of today do a little research and see where it derives from. Its shocking
I see workers for the local authorities spraying with no protection. And I think to myself I know what's in store for you and your oblivious to it
TBH I think the MAIN danger of this is not so much the fact that it's being used as a weedkiller but more the fact that it's being used systematically all over GM modified food that is immune to glyphosate. It has to be in food that contains these products.
TBH too I'm a bit blaze using stuff like this as when I worked in the lab a great percentage of solvents etc. that we used on a daily basis were systematically withdrawn because they were toxic & caused cancer. Every one of us that worked there & had some sense were careful when we did assays to minimise the risk, as I do when spraying weedkiller.
The wonderfully caring (NOT!) major pharmaceutical company I worked for were quite happy to expose workers to a very nasty chemical known to cause cancer quickly at 3,000-8,000 ppm when the ceiling limit (which should never, ever be exceeded) was just 5ppm. As my dad was dying of cancer in his 40's & very few workers knew the facts about the chemicals they were working with, it made me seeth so much that I called in the Health & Safety Inspectorate a few times. Trouble is that the government bods used to give them 3 days notice of an inspection (What the bloody hell is wrong with this picture?) so they stopped that process quickly with time for the air to clear!!
Monsanto - don't get me started on THAT company! Grrrrrrrrrrr0 -
