TBH I think the MAIN danger of this is not so much the fact that it's being used as a weedkiller but more the fact that it's being used systematically all over GM modified food that is immune to glyphosate. It has to be in food that contains these products.

TBH too I'm a bit blaze using stuff like this as when I worked in the lab a great percentage of solvents etc. that we used on a daily basis were systematically withdrawn because they were toxic & caused cancer. Every one of us that worked there & had some sense were careful when we did assays to minimise the risk, as I do when spraying weedkiller.

The wonderfully caring (NOT!) major pharmaceutical company I worked for were quite happy to expose workers to a very nasty chemical known to cause cancer quickly at 3,000-8,000 ppm when the ceiling limit (which should never, ever be exceeded) was just 5ppm. As my dad was dying of cancer in his 40's & very few workers knew the facts about the chemicals they were working with, it made me seeth so much that I called in the Health & Safety Inspectorate a few times. Trouble is that the government bods used to give them 3 days notice of an inspection (What the bloody hell is wrong with this picture?) so they stopped that process quickly with time for the air to clear!!

Monsanto - don't get me started on THAT company! Grrrrrrrrrrr

EDIT: If you are thinking of signing please make note of WIRS's comment.
By the way - Don't sign any petition against any major company or the government in the US if you have hopes of a green card or long term visa in the future. Big brother IS watching you! I'm NOT joking here - heard it from quite a few people who have been denied & who talked to others also denied. Some had signed 1 or 2 of the same petitions! Free speech is OK but free thought? Hmmmmm

    :hello:
Just to let you know, the Morries list will be very late this time - that's what happens when I miss a day out:p:D. To be fair though, it would probably have been about the same as much of what's changed probably changed a couple of days ago. I'm not going to attempt any 'preview' - just too much:eek:!:rotfl: Instead, I will put a sign up later - "Do not disturb" - sometimes it is absolutely essential!;) It's not come on the best day for me as lots of other stuff to do and I won't even be starting the list until much later - at this rate, it might not even be finished tomorrow morning. That said, I have 5 and a half pages this time, not six, and a page of those are a range of the same products, so who can tell?

I have all the info., so no worries about it getting lost - all the info., including the conflicting info.:rotfl: I'll do the update 'at my leisure, as and when I feel like' again:cool:. Might have something started late tonight and maybe finished tomorrow, who knows:rotfl:.

And - already:eek: - just popping in, I have to go!:D:cool: So, see you later:rotfl::wave:.

Monsanto has always been well known as the Chemical Company from Hell for decades. Sod everyone for the almighty dollar! I know in 70's when I worked for pharmaceutical company they were despised by everyone then.

As for the pharmaceuticals - they are NO better. They could cure people with a lot of the products that their top scientists have come up with, that have flown through initial clinical trials BUT have never been put onto the market & the pharmaceuticals have the patents of & they will make sure they never do go on the market. Why? - If they released many of the products that have been proven to 'cure' then they wouldn't be able to sell all the others made to just mask symptoms & these drugs also make it necessary to buy even more of their drugs to counteract their nasty side effects.

We're getting into the powers that be here, or, as some think the Illuminati territory, or is it lizard territory - as that strange ex-weatherman David Icke would have us believe! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I tried to use my Mighty Deals tesco card in a local store and it said it had already been used :(

Reminds me, I exchanged CC points for Hungry Horse vouchers and used them last week up North. Well I used the £20 one, the £10 one said 'already used' when I had only exchanged them the day before and printed them off together that day!!! I have to say that exchanging them at £2.50 for £10 vouchers for Hungry Horse is a lot better value than doing it for Cafe Rouge :money:

Glad the discussion has got onto this subject. I agree about Monsanto - they are even trying to patent ALL seeds which means that farmers can;t even use the seeds from their own crops as Monsanto have the rights to them. And it is all these chemical weedkillers and fertilisers that are killing out precious bees :(

In fact, Monsanto 'breed sterile seeds' which means that you have to buy your next years seed crop from them, you cannot gather your own

It is very said when starving people in the world are given the help they need as sterile seeds. What on earth happened to allow it to get to this point is beyond me. :(

Patented seeds, patented genes we will all belong to someone if it isn't stopped.

The organic community garden we belong to tries to save as many seeds as it can for future generations. Garden organic/Henry Doubleday is an organisation that promotes this too and some are available to buy. Tiny steps towards the future. :)

You are right WIRS. I will add your post to my link.

We are sure that is why Mr TS never even got interview at well know supermarket years ago because of some "groups" he was affiliated to. :o

It does not bother me no plans to go and will do what ever I can while I can, I had my picture taken while on a protest once. There is no such thing as free speech really. :(
