If I have things I must get done, I write them on a list so I don't forget them, then tick them off as I go. On this morning's list I have written Lloyds. I have absolutely no idea why!0

Can we all agree to remind each other how terrible they are when the next deal comes around. I got both my vouchers eventually but not without some "correspondence"To do is to be. Rousseau

Good morning all nice and sunny today
Just caught up and noticed that people were talking about weed killer:(
people are buying this stuff without giving a moments thought as to what is in the stuff
The contents of most weed killers are carcinogenic and very bad for you. The main one that people are buying stays in the soil for years
I have known the dangers of this stuff for years but the media picks up on it now and then.

If you are thinking of using the weed killers of today do a little research and see where it derives from. Its shocking
I see workers for the local authorities spraying with no protection. And I think to myself I know what's in store for you and your oblivious to it
I nearly posted something similar earlier but chickened out.
We don't use any pesticides at all for weeds and no slug pellets either. Grow totally organic. These chemicals worldwide are killing our earth, the soil is a living balanced system of it's own much like our own bodies and there has been considerable damage on a large scale this past century.
We would not put these chemicals into our own bodies but sometimes we are by eating what we have grown the residues of the harmful substances are often still there. I know and admit at times I am a hypocrite as I will buy whoopsied fruit and veg without knowing their provenance and other things that are not totally organic but I feel I limit my exposure by growing our own and often buying organic meat/veg and I know this means putting a lot of trust into the suppliers I buy from and it is not always affordable to all. But you make choices in your life and even when I had very little money I still did the same especially when the girls were younger and did without a lot of other things.
It is something I am very passionate about. In fact I embrace some weeds in my garden as some wildlife rely on their existence. Ok best step off my soapbox and take my green wellies off. :eek:0 -
That's good to know TM
don't use it if you intend to eat fruit or veg from the same ground  organic is the way to go
I try to be organic, can I call you Martin:), but in times of despair I have chucked slug pellets around the cabbages:o
I stopped growing broccoli for that reason......just couldn't get the bugs out of it and decided it was more bother than it was worth:oTo do is to be. Rousseau

Definitely not the first or third options. I bank with Lloyds so must be something to do with that, but???0
