Goodnight all. Its just one of those nights when something completely unexpected makes you think about what is going on close and near.

I hope anyone hearing the bark of the big black dog has somewhere, someone or something to help them through this night into the new day ahead.

    Be kind.

It is so sad, and highlights the importance of being kind and aware of others as the black dog can be with anyone...normally the people that we would never consider.

She is now at peace with whatever was tormenting her, her pain has ended whilst her family's has just begun. My thoughts are with them x

Oh how sad for the family. And sad for people on here too.:(

    There's nothing I can say...

I feel... normal:o, except that I start reading people's posts and feeling a bit sad (not that I should not feel that way). I'm sure I've had PMs from her in the past and I "ought" to feel feel worse, except that I think it will hit me later and different people deal with things differently. It does bring to light the issue of depression - me and someone else struggles with that in our home - there are times I get concerned about the other person when they just go out - though, touch wood, they always come back. I felt they were a bit down and might, in a minute of madness, 'do something stupid' - I can't always catch them before they go out:( but fortunately I have not had any problems to date - I bet if anything were to happen, they'd have gone out smiling and seemingly happy and then never return:(:(, I sincerely hope not although problem is you just never can tell and depression can occur suddenly at times. I think best people can do, unfortunately:(, is just try and look out for people but it's difficult as there's no way to prevent everything - for myself, I've been there and know what it's like, from my own perspective, I think, sadly, once you are there (once you have had the depression), it's always there, underlying underneath things, and if you have a moment where you feel a bit down, you feel really down - fortunately many of us can then get to a stage where the amount of time between each period of down increases but then you can have moments where it just comes back - it's difficult and all that can be done is lots of love to the people struggling with it. Hard to believe that people can be seemingly so happy and then just feel really down, and worse, but it does sometimes go from one extreme to the other - in fact, and I'm out of my depth and know nothing about this:o:o, but some things are marked by extremes in mood.

I'm sorry if I've said something that people don't want to hear. It's just a tragic situation:(.
