Not good because I like supporting my local farmer etc but the local market is really similar (local produce etc) and soooooo much cheaper.
Hmmm...struggling with this one... would be easy if it was just a faceless company but because it's a local farmer I'm just feeling really bad about sending him the email... Eek, what to say...?!!0 -
Yorkshire Lass - I have to be very organised if I shop with my family. It's way harder to be thrifty when 3 pairs of eyes are looking for things they'd like to buy. So don't take it too badly.
Today has been extremely DFW and particularly Old Style too. I will confess to meeting a friend first thing for coffee but I literally never get to meet up for a relaxed chat these days so it was absolutely wonderful. She is going through a very tough time due to her husband walking out. But it was a lovely 2 hours. And she even treated me which I was not expecting at all. So NSD after all.
Got home about 12.30 & OH had taken our son to a playdate then unblocked the sink at our shop and come back. So I heated us up some chicken soup I'd made last weekend and we had that for lunch. Then he went to collect son and I started cleaning. I then didn't stop cleaning till about 30 mins ago. I stripped & washed both sets of bedding. Cleaned the bathroom and downstairs loo. Hoovered all through the house. Mopped the bathroom & downstairs loo floors. Fully cleaned the kitchen and mopped that floor. Tidied the bedrooms.
The grossest thing was finding that the cupboard under the sink was full of mouse poo. So I scrubbed that out and threw away a lot of stuff that had been in there.
We are now having a pot luck dinner to use up 1 piece of lasagne, some pasta with bacon and veg, some linguine & pesto with fresh salad, bread & oven chips. So its a bit weird but my fridge which I also cleaned and scrubbed this afternoon is now bare of leftovers for a new week.
Have made son's lunch for tommorow & laid out his uniform. I am now looking forward to an evening of reading my library book
I also said I'd email a template budget to my friend as it turns out her husband has all the money and dishes it out to her when she asks. ...We need to get on top of that!

Hi All
Congratulations to Mrs F, and Ally on debt freeness. Very exciting.
I was heavily into decluttering and doing well at it over the winter. I seem to have lost my way recently. So have decided to refocus on dejunking the place. Not sure yet where I will restart, who knows. I think I may write a list. DS1 X Bedroom, full of his clutter since he was 8 and now married and moved on. Why am I keeping his old computer games? hmmm
I managed to resist buying new bedding yesterday, nothing was on offer and even though I have visitors arriving and only X childrens 20 year old bedding and reluctant to pay a fortune for 2 nights. Who knows, visitors may enjoy aladdin/barbie duvets? Why not? If I give them sufficient wine, they may not notice, keep the lighting dim...
Have fun, wish my phone was working, out of order again!

Maria, I think the Aladdin/Barbie duvets would be a nice touch in all seriousness btw!

DNMS - I found this blog online - http://goo.gl/XILdDq - going to print off this checklist and start Operation KonMari :T
Evening - Just been idly flicking through the forum and found your thread.....but this link has me intrigued! I've googled Kon Mari and the person this relates to and her clever ways....but what would you use this check list for? Is it basically tick it off once you've sorted/organised it, or is there something more to it?
Hope you don't mind me asking0 -

Hey NicNocs - yeah, just a checklist to tick as you go. In the book she lists a specific order that you use when clearing out, starting with clothes (tops). Also she just lists 'Komono' (miscellaneous items) but this list has given loads of suggestions of what Komono might be, which I loved. xxx0 -
