Sat/Sun 9th/10th May 2015 - What small DFW things will you do this weekend??

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important! :money:

Morning DFW-Ninjas,
Up bright and early for a free 5km ParkRun (Link) this morning. Will eat 22p noodles, soy sauce and nuts before I go.
New Era Day Two:
:grinheart Return library books and collect reserved item.
:grinheart Finish the cleaning with Stardrops and washable cloths.
:grinheart New kettle has a 1-2-3 cup indicator. Only boil enough water as required.
:grinheart Read newspapers online. See my list of links above for about 50 links to papers online.
:grinheart Posted on the Debt Free Roll of Honour board.
:grinheart Probably going to be a No Spend Day.
:grinheart OH and I will decide what we're going to wear for our 'CP>Marriage conversion' on Monday. As we are having just an administrative procedure it's just us and a registrar. Probably something from the wardrobe. This has horrified one of my acquaintances. Tough! It's about love not fashion! The process is only going to cost us £10 for a new certificate. Bargain bride! :rotfl:
:grinheart We thought our Freeview box was dying as every so often there were flashes of coloured light on the screen. However, having cleaned the cable contacts, it's working again and a couple of fuzzy channels are now crystal clear. Hopefully that's it fixed. £0.
:grinheart Put pills into weekly pill box thereby reducing the risk of illness that could result from forgetting to take them, which is expensive. Need to cut some pills in two as 'dear' GP has give me too many 50mg ones and not enough 25mg ones. Not going back to him to get more 25mgs, it's a 15mile round trip.
Freebies:
:grinheart Free seeds. (Link)
Competition:
:grinheart Win Pantene shampoo? (Link)
News:
:grinheart Do you have a Barclays Current Account? Martin Lewis has written an article on how to possibly get £48 a year through a new Barclays App. (Link)
:grinheart Nationwide is changing its credit card fees. (Link)
That's all for now. Good luck on your quests, Ninjas.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -

Morning All
Thanks for the thread Ally. I agree, if you have clothes you feel comfortable in for the conversion then why buy new for the sake of it? Very MSE of you.
Morning Determined, La Escocesa & Ziggy
Not much to report here. A lazy start thank goodness. OH made us all bacon rolls on some leftover sourdough. And lots of hot coffee. Best start
Have to do the usual weekend ferrying, piano, dance & a kids party this afternoon. But we are all going so it's nice. And less rushed than a normal day. No plans for Sunday as yet.
I will be trying for NSD 6 this weekend, but it's more likely to be Sunday than today.
Have a good one all.
