Finally at the end of my tether with HSBC call centre staff who I can't understand and they can't understand me either so I'm looking for a bank which uses call centres here in the UK. Anyone got any recommendations?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I have accounts with many banks, but hardly ever call them.
First Direct springs to mind.
So do Clydesdale Bank / Yorkshire Bank - but you might find it difficult to understand them either
I think there are many others.0 -
HSBC call centre is in Swansea:rotfl:0

Co-operative Bank and smile and they have announced cuts in charges and an overdraft safety net. If they continue along these lines all those who left will want to come back.0

Tesco Bank have call centre in Scotland. Excellent service by skilled people, and they pay decent interest on their current account.0

Would recommend First Direct - call centres in Leeds and Hamilton only. And no "press 1 for..." menus either. I don't call them often but they've always been excellent when I have.2018 wins: Aspinal of London jewellery box, Boudavida gym outfit, HP Pavilion laptop, The List party tickets, All Points East festival tickets, Kiehls moisturiser, By Terry cc serum, Nars Liquid Bronzer, Benefit highlighter, Nars illuminator, Fresh advanced lip trio set, Cetaphil sample set, signed copy of My Absolute Darling by Gabriel Tallent0

Whilst HSBC have call centres in the UK; these are tied in to the accounts you have - Premier and Advance UK only, some issues are only dealt with in non-UK call centres such as internet banking, reporting fraud and cancelling CPAs and all 'overflow' goto non-UK sites too.0
