Are the meals & drinks very expensive on board?
The meals & drinks can be a bit more expensive than in the UK, depending on how much you would normally spend. There is a duty free shop on board, so you could buy some alcohol on board & have some drinks in your cabin before going for the evening entertainment. I will be taking snacks & drinks with me when I go.HOW TO SAVE MONEY - LEAVE TEENAGE DAUGHTERS AT HOME WHEN SHOPPING0 -
Well I have booked us a trip.
I suppose that it would not be possible to book two consecutive trips. Going out on the first trip, not returning on the first trip and going back on the second.0 -
You sound like a boring old sod, This is a cracking deal, 6 of us have booked and got a cabin each for just £6 so total cost £36 for 6 cabins. We will load up with sandwiches and beers so not to bothered about prices onboard.
Ideal for a get together with some mates
You make it sound so much fun:eek:0 -
I went on one of these a couple of months ago with my husband and two small children. We really enjoyed it, it was different and a new experience for the kids. We took lots of food to eat, so didn't spend much on food and my husband actually won £80 on the fruit machines on board, so I got to treat myself in the duty free shop as a bonus!
We didn't spend much time in Stavanger, but we still really enjoyed having a quick look around, and I was impressed at how pretty it was.
I would thoroughly recommend it. If I can enjoy it with a 2 and 4 yr old in tow then anyone can!:rotfl:0 -

Have just returned from the Amsterdam mini-cruise and I did find the meals pricey as I have two young children who just wouldn't eat enough to warrant the buffet on offer. However, for adults I think it worked out around £20 per head and it was about 50p cheaper to book online than it was to pay on the night.
We took a load of snacks and butties etc. as did a lot of other passengers as there were loads of places to eat them.
Hope everyone who books has a brill time, may your seas be calm!!!0 -

did you're confirmation come through twice? Ours did, we also got a cancellation email this morning but when we logged in to look at the account, the system had actually made two booking (although the second confirmation number only had an extra /02 on it). So they have cancelled the second booking but the first one is still ok.BSC Member 59 - AD 29th March 2008

We went on this at easter, but we stayed on to the next port which was Bergen it did stop at stravanger first.
Ok Drinks 2 pints of lager came to £7.10
Breakfast was £8.00 Each (Buffett)
They do a eat what you like evening buffet i think was about £18 each (if you like fish you will be ok) lots of it.
The latitude cafe does burger and chips i think that was £12.50 each.
Also Norway is very expensive we went into a bar there and it was £5 a pint.
Also the entertainment is not very good same music every night.
To me this wasnt a Mini cruise more like the cross channel ferry you take to france. and you didnt get enough time there.
Just my opnion any questions please ask.:ASexy_fufu:A0 -
There's a long thread on a similar cruise here:

This should give you some idea of prices, food etc, but I wouldn't worry too much about any sick bag comments, this was in winter so the sea should be calmer for this one!0 -

Hi just called them & they re-booked us.
However similar to yourself i noticed after re-booking that cancellation number was different to confirmation number.
So called back & they said i must have booked twice which i didn't & i would have got 2 confirmation emails not one as i did.
Anyways i have new email confirmation & they said they will refund me for the other booking , so all's well that ends well.:beer:0
