I make it 1 and 1/2 hours as it says 2030 hours until 2200 hours...
anybody who has been...is there enough to see on the ship?0 -

Correct, although the ferry departs at 2300 they want you back on the ferry at 2200. And if the ferry arrives half an hour late it won't leave half an hour late. Even if it is on time, with disembarcation and embarcation, you're only going to have an hour ashore if it arrives on time.
Nothing wrong with that, as long as you know what to expect.0 -
Many thanks have just booked for 6 of us in two four birth cabin with sea view. Total cost £34 on the 26th Aug which is my sons birthday on the 27th so he is really pleased..Competitions wins 2010

The point of the cruise is not really to go and have a look around Stavanger, but rather to spend a couple of days 'cruising'.
Relax, have drink, a meal, and enjoy the journey. There is not really much time at the destination to do anything. But there is lots of time to do nothing
At £6 for two nights/three days I am suprised to see anyone grumbling. But don't forget the carparking (£8 per night) and the meals look a bit pricey - so take sandwiches - lol
And if the OP is in the bar on the bank holiday weekend trip, you can can a few pints on me!
BTW, did anyone see how much it would be to upgrade to tne 'commodore' cabin :eek:0 -
By the time you've included your meals etc and taking into account the actual time you will be able to spend in Norway, it becomes much less attractive!
You sound like a boring old sod, This is a cracking deal, 6 of us have booked and got a cabin each for just £6 so total cost £36 for 6 cabins. We will load up with sandwiches and beers so not to bothered about prices onboard.
Ideal for a get together with some mates0 -

To anybody who has been...
Are the meals & drinks very expensive on board?
If you see someone without a smile give them one of yours,
It wont cost you anything!
