Another £5 coupon from my mum :j So food shopping was £48 after coupon and £2.50 transferred to florida savings :T:T:T:T I know its only £2.50 but I am also amazed how I have accumulated £407.50 so far (about 2/3 months) just from extra bits of money (cash back, coupons, etc). Must thank sassy chick again for the inspiration!
No work today - yay. Have a great sunny day everyone xx[STRIKE]Tesco 1 - £200[/STRIKE]. Tesco 2 - [STRIKE]£4350[/STRIKE]. £0 Barclaycard 1 - [STRIKE]£4375[/STRIKE]. £2600 Barclaycard 2 - [STRIKE]£7356[/STRIKE] £6272

Had overtime pay this month but I need to keep some of it in my account for expenses (to be honest I kind of rely on some overtime money each month). Decided to transfer £40 into my florida account so at least I get to do something fun with the money that I had to work extra for lol! Brings my total to £447.50
Nothing else to report today, no work but feeling tired and grumpy so am planning to have a quiet day with the dog. x[STRIKE]Tesco 1 - £200[/STRIKE]. Tesco 2 - [STRIKE]£4350[/STRIKE]. £0 Barclaycard 1 - [STRIKE]£4375[/STRIKE]. £2600 Barclaycard 2 - [STRIKE]£7356[/STRIKE] £6272

Hiya
Glad to have been an inspiration. It's true though, the little bits do add up and you just don't notice it. Yet if I'd said to you 3 months ago - go put £447.50 into savings - you'd have said, um can't! Once I've got my main bits of debt down I'm going to be on the holiday savings again - my problem is I just can't work out where to go next!
Hope you don't feel tired & grumpy for too long, may be a power nap would help?xx

Sassy you are so right!! I would never have thought it was possible to save nearly £450 in the space of 2/3 months but I have done exactly that. I have been lucky to have it boosted by a decent refund cheque and a few generous cash back payments. Also, I have a job that involves some obligatory overtime which helps.
Having a lovely (cheap) weekend. Briefly went into town yesterday morning because dd1 had a water stones gift card to spend. I only spent £1.40 on parking - oh bought me a coffee with his Costa points yay! Then walk by the river with the dog later on, £8 spent on bbq food, afternoon in the garden and a game of tennis in the evening at the public courts. So less than a tenner spent and a really lovely day! Today we have been for a walk in the woods with the dog, will have lunch at my parents and then afternoon at home, hopefully in the garden if it's still nice and some ironing :rotfl: don't hink I need to spend any money - only issue may be milk but hopefully it will last.
Hope everyone is having a nice weekend too x[STRIKE]Tesco 1 - £200[/STRIKE]. Tesco 2 - [STRIKE]£4350[/STRIKE]. £0 Barclaycard 1 - [STRIKE]£4375[/STRIKE]. £2600 Barclaycard 2 - [STRIKE]£7356[/STRIKE] £6272

Worked the first two days of the week so having a day at home today, thank good ness.
Been food shopping today (but no money off coupon today boo!!), spent £58 which I am pleased with. The less money spent on essentials, the more money there is for debt repayments.
Good news today is that a cash back payment I had for my home insurance has become payable today (along with 2 very small payments) so have requested payout of £92.49. Transferred full amount into my florida account which brings the total to a rather uneven £539.99. This was bothering me a little but Ive been strict and kept to only putting money into the account that is 'extra' to earned income. Also the account is due interest to be credited at the end of august so that will make it up to the next pound if you know what i mean!

Hiya
Great to hear about the cash back payment coming in and being put straight into Florida account. It's all adding up quite nicely isn't it!
Have fun with that housework!xx

It has come to my attention that I really have to do some more overtime to achieve my challenge. That isn't what I really want to do and I will wait until after the summer holidays for childcare reasons, but come September I will offer myself up for extra shifts  It is the most time consuming and stressful way to make extra money, but it is definitely the most profitable at £11-£16 an hour. If only it were tax free

Can't believe you are up to £540 already. I'd love to know what's in my holiday tin! If I put mine in an account it would just get spent!
Hope the debt busting is going well too x0 -
Nothing really interesting to report unfortunately. One week until payday number 1. No extra holiday money to report. Have been food shopping and spent only £47 which should last until Saturday or sunday. I'm happy with that.
Heard back from the ppi company and as I expected, I did not have ppi. At least I know for sure anyway but no money coming from that lol!
it feels very slow progress at the moment but thats to be expected. All I can do at the moment is concentrate on not spending very much. Talking of which, although I treated myself to a trashy book (Grey :p0) for my holiday it was on half price offer, and I got another book to take from the library. Usually I would go to waterstones and buy at least 2 books so I'm doing well. Still need to get my euros which will be a major expense. To be honest though, we have a swimming pool and hot weather so we don't expect to spend that much once we are there. We don't intend doing anything in the way of paid for days out - just looking at towns/villages/beaches etc so the major costs are going to be food and eating out.
Hope everyone has a good day x[STRIKE]Tesco 1 - £200[/STRIKE]. Tesco 2 - [STRIKE]£4350[/STRIKE]. £0 Barclaycard 1 - [STRIKE]£4375[/STRIKE]. £2600 Barclaycard 2 - [STRIKE]£7356[/STRIKE] £6272

Spent the last 2 days working 12 hour days which left me very tired and questioning my career. Anyway I am now off for 3 days which is nice. For some reason the works car park didn't charge me for the last 2 days (maybe it knew about my hideous days ) so that has saved me £5. I'm going to put £2.51 into my holiday savings from that.
Payday number 1 on Monday so debt repayments can be made then.
