I'm back from visiting family - not spent too much other than petrol which was prob about £120

I have finally received the cheque that I was waiting for so that's £100 into my Florida pot and £50 off tesco 1 - balances of Florida - £160 and tesco 1 £200 :T

I've got 2 mobiles to sell and some ebaying to do now I'm back.

Annoying start to the morning - eldest trying to squeeze into her school shoes, only just got her feet in and they looked very uncomfortable. There are only 7 weeks left until the summer holidays for goodness sakes!!! So I went to primarni and spent £6 - usually a false economy but surely they will last 7 weeks!? To recoup some of the cost I did not buy my usual coffee whilst in town and managed to find a cheaper petrol station to fill up rather than the one nearest me.

Not spending any more money today - got so much housework to do! Will take my lovely dog for a walk on the beach in a minute which will be my treat for the day :D

Have found the best price for the mobile i want to sell so just awaiting the prepaid envelope for that.

    Have a good day

  • Hi

My Littley ALWAYS grows out of her clothes the week after October half term and the week before Whitsun. It drives me mad!! I used to agree that shoes from Primarni were false economy as somehow she trashes them but last year I splashed out on a pair from a better quality shop, spent about 4 or 5 times the amount and she still trashed them in the same amount of time. Maybe it's just her lol.

Have fun with the housework :)

Today's main object - send off the mobile phone. I have received the prepaid envelope so all I have to do is take it to a post office. Not counting the money until I receive it though because Im a bit cynical - they will probably not pay as much as they said claiming there is some fault/scratch etc.

Worked yesterday (30 minutes overtime as well) so now there is a lot of housework to do again

Getting impatient With the debt repayment and the holiday saving. Have to keep reminding myself this is probably the longest time I have ever not spent on a credit card and the longest I have ever kept to my repaying plans. I used to go for it for a few months and then it would slip and I would use the cards again. Also quite proud that the £160 in my holiday pot has come entirely from 'other' money - overtime, cash back, selling things, money saved from coupons etc. my debt repayments haven't been affected at all and that makes it the thought of the holiday even better:)

  • Morning,

Don't be impatient be happy with the fact you're doing so well! It's frustrating that it takes time but the end result is so worth it. I struggled for 17 years to try and save money for my trip as I always had something else I'd need to spend the money on after a few months of savings. But last year I really went for it and thanks to these boards and other MSE members encouragement I did it. It was hard and frustrating and all those other emotions you're feeling but I did it. And I had the best holiday of my life and am now aiming for debt free and another amazing holiday. If I can do it so can you. I have every faith in you and I'm sure deep down you do too.

    Have a great day :) x

Forgot I collected my payslip when I got back from half term and had some overtime payment so I transferred £20 into my Florida pot. Have waited in this evening for someone to buy an item I had on gumtree and they didn't come  it was only £10 but I wanted that!

Awaiting my mobile money and have £60 confirmed on topcashback so shouldn't be long until I can redeem that.

Doing some overtime this weekend which I can't say I'm looking forward to but I do want the money. Hours aren't guaranteed yet so we will see how many hours I do.

    It's all progress isn't it :)

so it was a fairly productive weekend - overtime totalling approx £130 before tax (never ends up anything like what i think because of ni etc). That will be in Julys pay. Lovely weather as well so that made it nice with the family - nice dog walks and time in the garden. Spent about £10 on coffee out on sunday but that was all I spent all weekend I think - yay!

Day off today so more of the usual - housework, tidying up the children's weekend mess lol! Another lovely day so I'm happy.

have a nice day everyone x

Having a negative day - lots of irritation at work and come home to an email from mobile buying site saying the vibration doesn't work in the phone and it is a different model so instead of giving me £30 like I thought they will only give me £10 :( this is all news to me but I guess they know better than me.

Also having to chase an overtime payment from work that I was due in March - hopefully it is now sorted out and hopefully I will receive it in July (only four months late then!!!)

Well £10 in the holiday pot so total £190.

    Must cheer up tomorrow x
