I live about a mile from my daughters school there are smaller houses around here (parents)for about 500 ,nearer my daughters school which is a lovely area about 700.

If I save 5k I could buy one next summer but it would be a terraced a long from my parents or I coukd rent in " the posh" area nearer the school.
A bigger house sounds better but at least I would eventually own the terraced.

It's confusing but it means being with my parents for another 10/11 months and being very frugal.

I think I'd be tempted to tough it out at your parents then. If you could be looking at owning your own home again soon, a year of pain at having to share with them sounds very worthwhile. Try not to focus on the living arrangements but the getting debt free. The time will pass whether you focus on it or not. Easy to say I admit but 12 months really isn't that long.

Thanks Bob, I know you are right. This will give my daughter something in the future too.

I know its not long really but at times I am ready to just sleep in the car lol

I will have to stop booking holidays to get away. If I had not of done this I would have had the deposit by now.

    But we live and learn.

Well guess I have a lot to aim for now. :-)

Well I have a day off today ( only been back five weeks) its a training day. We have done some twilights in lieu of the day off.

Dd is at school. Oh ( works at same school as me) so is also off , so we were going to go to the metro centre and have lunch. We have decided that instead we will just stay at his and watch films instead. Very MSE :-) .

My daughter needs £20 later for her judo grading so not a NSD.

I am hoping I can keep this up.

I have also just done my insanity work out . Already feeling more focused.

    My first NSD today. Whoo!

We were back at work today so not must chance to spend. Not even a school dinner.lol

Yesterday I spent too much. Dd needed £55 judo fees this is after the £20 grading. £6 for Christmas cards she has designed. £ 28 as it was her school photo day.

So I have just checked the bank. I have £220 left to last me three weeks.

Is this possible? Its half term in the last week too. I was hoping to go roller skating and to the new trampoline park that has opened. Maybe I will have to go to the real park instead if weather is ok.

Food is mainly paid for . I will just need a few top up bits like fruit and packed lunch crisps for dd. I will need petrol possibly £20-30 a week.

Dd has a couple of birthday parties.

It should be manageable. I need to quit the drive through lattes and stop wasting money.

    Thank you

I have had a record this week of NSD days.

Its friday now and oh is treating me to a meal and wine at his. So that will be another NSD.

The petrol is getting low though , so it will not be long before that will need filling.

Three weeks until pay day. Ahhhhh. I am so impatient.

    Hi Rebecca,

Just spotted your diary so thought id pop in and wish you luck!!

I can't imagine living back at home but I think you're doing it for the right reasons. Re the freezer is there any room for you to buy one of your own? Just thinking you could buy one to use for now and then you've got it ready for when you get your own place? xx
