Had the most multi-tasking morning yesterday, my head nearly exploded. All unintentional but as soon as I started something, I either got a phone call, text or got sidetracked by something. So in no particular order:
*washed camera case and trainers in wm after slipping on beach mud last week!
*planted out/watered/despaired over slug damage etc in garden
*dusted/polished various things round the house
*cleared kitchen surfaces/washed up/put away/wiped surface
*emptied compost
*booked a couple of hotels on good deals for planned motorbike trip with my brother (that was the constant stream of interruptions)
*did some of my course
*gathered together paperwork needed for job tender which I must send by Monday noon.
*showered and threw together overnight stuff for visiting friends
*did a few surveys
*went to mobile library. Sadly despite our petitions and my poem which went in village magazine, the funding has been cut and the mobile library will stop in October. I'm really sad, as it is such a friendly service not to mention I can walk to it (I'm rural and it is at least 15-20 mins drive plus parking costs to the nearest town library - in a town I don't go to). I love that when I go, the mobile library man tells me what books his wife has liked so I can try them! Boo to cuts.
I can't remember what else I did; it was bitty and disjointed but I think on balance I achieved quite a lot.
Had a lovely time with friends in Suffolk; spent the night with their lovely whippet cuddled up round me (Mr N knows when he's relegated to 2nd place). Went to a nice local wine-grower today as it has a market of local produce. Yum.
Came home this afternoon and did more in the garden, a bit of my course and watched the VE day concert.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

Morning everyone - sort of caught up with the thread! I have sciatica and it is no better after an extra shift at ch. shop yesterday afternoon!
Need to get on today as little flying being done here. I have however been sleeping for England - must be relief and catch up of the last 4 months lack of it.
Hope to get some gardening done - baby steps and also lots of 15 mins tidying today. Have started kondoing and love it! But again that will be slow progress due to many vol jobs especially during the summer months.
Have a good day everyone - husgs sticks and spoons where needed.July 16 £95/£200

Hello! :hello:
Can I come back in? Please?
I have been busy - I have finished my Foundation Degree, and Ofsted have finally decided to honour me with a visit on Friday (I am a childminder) after 6 years and 2 months!! The wait was much worse than the inspection - all is good
The result of the inspection is that the house is fairly organised and tidy. I just need to keep on top of things and sort out all those jobs I keep putting off.
I am trying to update my Toots list, and then I can start picking things off one by one. In the meantime I probably need some routine, so that is where you lovely ladies come in!
I have missed everything for about the last year! So, please accept my congratulations, commiserations, condolences, hugs, sticks and spoons as appropriate/needed. I will catch up as I go along!
ETA: I have read back on the last few days - can I ask what 'kondoing' is?
Also, congrats Dusty on the job offerWhat was it, if you don't mind me asking?

Welcome home, GI congrats on the degree and ofsted result :T
I've blitzed the living room and conservatory, right in the corners with the vac tools. Also spotted a hatching spider nest on the outside of the playhouse so I've sorted that too. We've pulled stuff out and will give it a sweep later.
Kids are bored - but I want to get things donefeel a mean mummy but I have arranged for DS friend to come over later.
Might crack on with lunch so that's sorted.Bossymoo

I have been a bad flylady. I've only been dressed for the last 20 minutes so have done nothing of any particular use today. An hour in the gym and cooked some brownies and thats it.Spend less now, work less later.0

It would appear that the blue dye that Harvey & Charlie managed to get on their noses was to mark the route for the MK marathon, which was on 4th May. I'm sure they could have found a cleaner way of directing the runners.
Anyways, the boys went home at 13:30 yesterday, so in the afternoon I put the 1st coat of paint on the 2 big walls in the kitchen, and this morning I did the 2nd coat. It looks really good, if I say so myself!:o We decided to do it in sections rather than do the 1st coat all in one hit followed by the 2nd; particularly as the bits that are left are fiddly and/or difficult to get to, so doing them will be very tiring for me.
However, it's all progress.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
