Sadly none of the suggestions above is likely to stop the thieving scumbags. We have the same problem with people who are too tight to buy their own but think it perfectly acceptable to take other people's property.
I really don't know how to stop it happening.0 -

Spite it with laxatives, shouldn't take long to find the culprit.0

Don't drink tea & coffee at work
or buy a bigger bottle so you won't worry about the thief (does work)
Or take your own flask of tea/coffee with milk already in
Used to hack me of when it used to happen to me, my employer at the time (((shudder))) just said what do you expect from a communal fridge so individual fridge might be way to go - I got to thinking it was management who was the culprit!0 -

Switch to almond milk, you'll barely notice the difference.
I got so annoyed at bringing in milk on a Monday, travelling tues-thurs and returning on Friday to find no milk left. Miraculously, I switched to almond milk and no-one fancies it!0 -
Buy a some red, blue or black food colouring and add some to the milk. Those who know it is coloured will probably not mind. The thief will assume it is not milk.
Otherwise invest in a bottle lock or a small lockable containerFew people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -
My housemate nicks my milk. grrr
Why have their not been any inventors on dragon's den with an invention of a lockable milk top?
I would buy that
Maybe because they already exist!
