Had an Iceland order today after long absence because Iceland has some healthy food.
We're loving the gluten free kangaroo and venison meatballs and burgers, the frozen at sea hake, the Iceland North Atlantic prawns and Young's Canadian prawns.
Iceland is very competitive on all those things for packed lunches eg Branston and when OH ate bread the Burgen was 50p cheaper than at Waitrose.
I had never seen Quark elsewhere though I'd heard of it, so bought some of that to try it because it's only 95p.
Anyone tried it ?
Lately, we haven't been able to get 6 kitchen rolls for 99p from 99p Stores so it looks like 4 for £1 is the next best deal. 20 sponge scouers for £1 seems fine to me. also.
So what do you like about Iceland ? If you hadn't ever shopped there or hadn't been there in ages have you found new things too ?

I like the good reductions I occasionally spot in there. A couple of weeks ago I got 500 gm packs of lean mince reduced to £1.50, frozen sea bass reduced to £1.50 a pack and fresh chickens reduced to £1.50. Took advantage and spent about £25 on stocking up the freezer a bit!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

I'm going to Tesco tomorrow so I'll have a look, thanks. Pretty sure I haven't seen this in my local Sainsbury's.
I like the fact that Iceland prices use whole £ not 3.98 etc.0 -
I go there for the milk, free range eggs and Burgen bread. All very well priced0

Weetos half price this week and good price on oven chips. Tea bags are normally cheaper too.0

Our local Iceland reduces all meat with a use by date of the date you are purchasing by 50% in the morning. Great savings to be had if you can get them.0 -

Mine too. They seem to either reduce it after it closes the night before or before opening in the morning as it's always there as soon as they open at 9.00am. They don't have a lot and it doesn't last long, but well worth the effort of being there when the doors open.0
