why are used trailers so expensive?

It won't make much difference. We don't get strong enough UV in this country to do real damage to the tyres that way. The ageing is due to a "self-vulcanising" chemical reaction within the rubber compound.londonTiger wrote: »I cover all my tyres in black bags when I store them in the garden.
Storing them in black bags may actually encourage humidity and condensation, as well as high temperatures if in the sun, which could do more damage.0 -

Whereas your own company, no doubt, offers exceptional value for money ? How much would you charge for shipping from Australia ? Would you accept a couple of tins of Spam as payment ?0 -
Spam aside, it's a reasonable point - you can hire pretty decent trailers for about £50/day*, and camping trailers (which was what he was looking for**) for a lot less.
*I think I was quoted £55 for the first day for a 5x10 box van, and about £40 for any subsequent days.
**You'd be mad to try and remove soil/rubble with a camping trailer because it'll take forever, but it might be all his car/license will allow.0 -

Since he got PPR'd we'll never know. I was looking forward to some tales of woe regarding buying a duffer or something.
Still, this thread is searchable and still provides good, valid advice.0
