On the last two occasions the SP 500 index was this high (2000 &2007) a severe correction took place (50%).
On Both occasions it was in October-after the summer holidays. After monumental rises in some funds (bio-tech India) in the last few months one wonders how long this can sustain itself,is time running out on this record Bull Run?

The revolution is not an apple that falls when it is ripe. You have to make it fall.

As an investor, I hope so! (as a person that is employed, I hope not!)
50% drop would be a buy-one-get-one-free situationGoals

Could be a number of triggers combined. A rise in US interest rates, a GREXIT from the Eurozone and a Labour\SNP\Green coalition.
Only certainty is that it's been Central Bank intervention that's driving markets upwards. Not underlying Corporate profitability. Making the post GFC era had to make real sense of. Simply too many distortions.0 -

Too much artificial support is the problem , it will happen and then what ?0

It will likely dive if we end up with a Labour Government..0

If you are that confident... Are you currently shorting the various indices mentioned?0

The market could double and then fall 70% for all we know. For anyone thinking its easy to call the tops, just look at japan in the 80s, asset prices went absolutely insane. We are still way off that mark.Faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.0

Yes, indices go up *and* down, not a problem unless you're retiring soon.0
