Lunches out with friends and support group. There's no drop ins here anymore so this is what we do - meet up for coffee/brunch/lunch. Sorted now! Tis not worth padding if it means you spend all day alone in the flat :(

and yes these things can be done on a budget :j

£11.27 for me today please, thanks to a survey pay out. This sort of thing used to enable me pay extra off the cc, now I need it to help pay the minimum <sigh>. I'm off work for 2 weeks soon so I think I need to have a go through the budget and see where I can work it out better as there won't be survey money every month when I need it.

I was praying for your DH this morning jet and will try and remember to pray about this!!!

Hi guys :hello: did anyone miss me? :rotfl: No? Ooh, you rotten lot!

Well I've been bled dry of all my money these past few weeks, hence my shocking lack of PADs. Think 6 tonne dumper trucks, electricity meter movement, archaeologist's fees etc...Now DH wants £1000 for top soil  Out comes the magic wand....

Anyway, I am now PADding again, so £45 for me please Bob - £25 to savings and the rest to CC

    Welcome to the newbies xxx

Deffo welcome newbies :) and welcome back dizzy - this is called life - just when you want to pad buckets life gets in the way!!! But remember one of my mantras guys - tis not going down (or getting into debt) that's the crime but staying down (not having your lightbulb moment)

For newbies not sure of what debt to tackle first this link might help - http://www.whatsthecost.com/snowball.aspx

Just remember to print off the page with calculations/save it somewhere!!! :D

Have a good day folks :)

Can I ask how people find so much to PAD? I've seen some crazy numbers such as £100+, isn't it a payment a day!?

Personally, I include regular payments in my PADding, not just any extra that I can spare to go towards paying down debt and some of these are large amounts. Not everyone on here does that and some of us are saving, rather than paying debts. I think we are an eclectic bunch, with varied backgrounds and very different financial circumstances. The PADs are not meant to be competitive - there's no PAD of the month award - just friendly support and encouragement :)
  • Good morning fellow PADders :hello:

My PAD today is £4 to moneybox please Bob :T

Well done Calling14 on clearing that CC :j

I generally PAD small amounts to moneyboxes each day but once or twice a month I do PAD the large amounts that used to go towards our debt into our savings accounts. Am just very grateful we are now in a position to do this and it was the regular payments towards debt that we made here that helped clear our debt and lets us do this now :D

Have a super day everyone :)

Paid £30 to OH's cc today from money from selling stuff. Thanks Erme for your comments and support. We'll get there but it seems to be getting harder rather than easier - but one thing I know both from people's stories on here and dealing with vulnerable customers at work, is that it can always be worse and I just need to be patient. One thing this thread really helps with is feeling like you keep making small steps in the right direction.

    Congratulations Calling on your milestones.

    Evening all,

£15.00 for my PAD today please :)

Cameron, I do the same as Dizzy - my PADs include normal loan and CC repayments. I've also cut out almost all the socialising, and cut all my bills so any amounts which previously went on those things gets PADed. We all have different circumstances and debt levels, but every pound you PAD is a pound you never pay interest on again so the smallest and largest PADs are amazing!!
