What an incredible total for November!! Well done everybody!!!

I wonder if the pressure of sending nice things to Santa will affect us this month, I'm not so sure as yesterday we managed to PAD an amazing £1887.35!! I want to know Sashanut's secret to getting all these amazing PADs! Special mentions to Erme and Dizzy Imp for making briliant PADs at a time when it's not always easy x

I was reading back and noted that we have a mix of people repaying debt and people saving. I wondered if the debt free people (or anyone in fact!) would care to share on piece of advice or thread or anything that helped them when their debt free date seemed so far away?

    xxx

Secret to keep debt busting when DF date seems so far away? I don't think I had a DF date apart from when flitting with a DMP and towards the end?

I just never gave up!!! I had my whoopsies (don't mention the £800 macbook bought on HP) and sometimes x or y would work for a while then I'd stall. But I just never gave up

You know one of my mantras (kind of key in this one)

tis not going down (or getting into debt) that's the crime but staying down (not having your lightbulb moment in it's bare bones)

So don't be down and don't give up!!!

Morning everyone and a special hello to Laurra

Should be getting our static caravan this week, so I'll finally be able to cook and do the washing rather than take-aways and hauling the laundry up to DH's cousin's wife. Poor lady - she's been so kind x

£64.75 for me today please Sunshine

Loving this thread - it's keeping me going :) Thanks everyone xxx

Roll on the caravan and cooking again Dizzy. Hugs and prayers :) and don't give up!!!!

I'm coming over for the tray bakes remember LOL

    Morning lovelies!

Yesterday's PADs totalled a lovely £140.58! Well done everybody! Just counted up our first seven days in December and we are well on our way to a huge December total!

Special mention going to TTFTM today, we all want a signature like yours! And so great that every day you can put a little in a moneybox knowing it's all yours and you're gaining interest rather than being charged it! You could argue that I (and others) should use savings to pay off debts first, and it's true really, but there's something psychological about having a balance somewhere in the black that really helps :)

Have a good day everyone x

£19.65 for me today, again to Barclaycard! I'm a woman on a mission!

Laurra £1.30 is fab...if you did that every day by next Christmas that's almost £500, so not to be sniffed at!

DizzyImp I hope you are OK, I can't imagine the stress. Fingers crossed you get in the caravan asap x

My PAD for today is £2.55 to MBNA please :)

TTFTM, I totally agree! This is by far my favourite challenge, not only has the PADing itself made a massive difference to my debt but the support is brilliant!

Hopefully the caravan arrives soon Dizzy!

Laurra you've made a fab start! I'm loving your signature, what a fab way of reminding yourself how well you are doing!

Sunshine, how are you finding being counter upper? Is it extra motivational?
Let’s just pretend I have not been alternately drowning in debt or only eating toast to try and pay it off for the last 20 years 😭

    Hi PADDING peeps :)

My offering was £19 to THE DEBT today. I could have stretched to £20 but my need for round numbers defeated me :)

    Love to all

Just popping by to say hello and welcome to newbies. I've not got a PAD to post at present as just getting back online after having no power since Saturday night apart from a short period yesterday - yep I'm in Lancaster, which has been quite an experience this weekend as even gas boiler central heating needs electric and all my cooking facilities are electric, but at least it wasn't cold for the time of year so not too bad, and we had good neighbours who gave us flasks of hot water so we could have a brew. Couldn't get into work yesterday as I commute to Preston. However, all good in the scheme of things as we didn't get flooded ourselves and no damage done, just weird to have no internet or mobile phones working. Thank God for battery operated radio and local station keeping us informed. I really feel for those in Cumbria and Dizzy on here who have been flooded as it is terrible to see some of the pictures of people's houses.
    Anyway, hopefully back PADding tomorrow
