  • i'm a newbie and posted saying I won nothing but today I get a parcel from the 1000 sky prizes. I won "drum roll" a runner up prize of a packet of mini easter eggs. I was well excited and the thought that I was in the running for a big prize made it all the better. and off course it came in a padded envelope which I can re-use so two prizes really.

I started comping this time last year, I enter a fair amount of comps, but benerally for bigger or higher value items, unfortunately yet to win anything, but that wont stop me filling the forms in.

Sadly, my wins tapered off in November last year. I used to average 1 a month, it's disappointing but I keep plodding on - hoping that my luck will change.

Comping since 15/06/2014 - thanks to all those who post the competitions ❤️😀

i always go into each one thinking, I WILL WIN. And then forget what I've entered, so when an email/letter/prize turns up - it's a great thing! :)

I have never expected to win anything, and I don't do it TO WIN. I do it because it's a fun hobby and if I get to do nice things or have nice things then it's a bonus! :) xx

I have won an average of 4 prizes per month since starting a few years ago, using another site.
Just mostly small wins e.g. blacknred notebook, easter eggs, footballs etc.
But its just lovely to get a nice surprise in the post.

I do think its getting harder, a few small things last month and nothing so far this month. I have only ever done about 30 to 50 per day but used to win 2 to 4 things a month and good prizes. Keep ploding till I stop winning completely and then time to move on me thinks!!

Its defo harder to win things nowadays mainly because of the media coverage of it and the apparent ease of being able to win shed loads of stuff when in reality its nothing like the media make it out to be.
Back in the day it people would advise the newbies to enter for small things like books, dvds etc as they would gain less entries and as such, more chance to win. Nowadays, even those comps get loads of entries! Youre fighting with statistics, more entries = less chance at the end of the day. Its just a case of having an enter and forget attitude. It'll go full circle soon and those who see it as a way of making a quick buck will get bored with the reality of the comping world and the hardcore old compers will still be there. Persistence is key!
