Did Very cover the returns cost? If yes then keeping the £3.95 is reasonable; If no then they are obliged to refund the initial postage too.
Wow thanks you were totally right!! I sent them an email asking why they had charged me the postage as I had paid for the return and they emailed back with an apology and said they would credit my account with £3.95 asap.
Must admit I felt a bit cheeky asking for the postage back too, but thinking about it, I don't think I have had to pay the postage on other items I have returned before...0 -
£3.95 is Very's standard delivery cost so it makes sense that they wouldn't refund that bit.
I'm slightly surprised that you have been refunded in full, but am happy to be proved wrong. Well done!
Hiya
Thought you might like to know.. I queried the £3.95 which was the delivery cost and took the advice to ask for it back as I had paid for the items' return and they emailed me today with an apology, saying they would credit my account with £3.95 asap.
Cant believe how accommodating they have been - after posting on here and seeing some of the responses, I was really expecting the worst.0 -

I'd wrongly presumed they'd collected the phone for the return which they are allowed to charge for - it is normal for them to keep the original delivery cost to cover the return pickup, but obviously that's not relevant if you sent it back yourself.
There's a tick for Very - I hadn't thought highly of them so assumed that they'd do the worst and that anything you did get back would be as a result of a battle. Glad it worked out for you.0
