Don't forget Tilbury. That's the loveliest place I've ever been to.

If you just have to be near Laindon, and your options are Basildon, Romford or Grays, you might as well just stay in Laindon, which is as big of a dive as the rest of them. Langdon Hills might be a better option depending on budget.

Otherwise go for Basildon and you can walk to Laindon. Try to avoid being stabbed on the way though.

You appear to have missed out the sun kissed paradise, with long golden beaches and shopping to rival Oxford street.....Canvey Island....

Sadly not, you obviously haven't read some of the OP's other threads...

You're the one who said you need to be near Laindon. Was that sarcasm?

Chafford Hundred in practically an extension of Lakeside -for some that's a huge advantage - for others not. Have you looked at Dagenham ? You might like it. It's cheap.

Rayleigh is nicer but probably out of your budget.

    Rayleigh is very village
does it have schools for A-levels? Does it have places for children to learn languages? To play? I don't know, I have never been, but it looks very village on the map, plus I don't like that it has a serious supermarket (Asda) at the outskirts so I will have to travel alot to get groceries.

I have been told that Dagenham is awful, not sure. Is it a south asian ghetto too? Not sure. Rainham would also be an option that I haven't yet explored
