Hello everyone,
I haven't posted on here in a long time. Things have really changed for me and I have well and truly fallen off the OS wagon. Since we got our internet sorted this week (on the talk talk package) I have decided to make a new months resolution and return to my OS ways. I think I need some order and discipine to help me get things back on an even keel.
I hope everyone is well and that you don't mind me coming back. I think I need the support of you guys more than ever. My OS ways helped me cope with M.E and as everything has got on top of me I think that returning to OS is the best way for me to get back in control.
I look forward to getting back into things.

Good Morning PW, Quasar, Scuzz, N9eav and all to follow. It's a really beautiful morning here. Have taken dogs out for a long walk and already sat out in the garden for ten minutes - so peaceful.
PW, good to see you back - just take each day as it comes, the house will soon be right again - and in the great scheme of things it's of low importance right now. Glad yesterday went as well as could be expected and that you have company.
Scuzz, it sounds like you need some proper sleep right now!
N9eav, glad the fishing trip went well!
Quasar, those old cook-books sound really fascinating - any favourite recipes to share?
Well, I have a day in school as the caretaker is on holiday and the biuiders need access. Maybe my room will be a bit more sorted by 5pm!
Aaaaagh! The dog has just tried to get behind the TV - the wretched cat has left a calling card. Grrh!!!!
Must go! (((HUGS))) to all who need one - and especially to JackieO today.
Plenty of recipes - one of the books is American and has dozens of great sandwich recipes. I must make time to post some.
Meanwhile, the oldest book carries two recipes on how to cook a sheep's head. Interested?Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -

Evening all :hello:
Pink, all I can say is big hugs and I hope you know we're all thinking of you
JackieO - I was shopping this afternoon for birthday cards and I saw one which said "All you need is love - and gin and tonic" and thought of youI'm going to do what Nelski suggested and light one of my posh smelly candles for you once you've gone in for your op. All the very best and I'll keep praying.
I overslept this morning (something to do with getting home at 1am and then spending the next hour browsing MSE) and I woke at 8:36am and was at my desk (nearly 3 miles away by public transport) by 9:15am which I thought was quite an achievement
Anyway, after a few mad days, I've got a few evenings to myself, though I've got a lot of functional dull things to fit in as I'll be busy again all weekend! Was going to go to Tesco tonight but can't be bothered as I've got enough food to last - I'll go tomorrow (if not otherwise occupied) or Friday. If I went this evening I'm sure I'd only end up buying beer
The reason I was home so late last night was that I went to a late night Prom, which finished at 11:25, then the tube had major delays  However, the route I had to take to avoid the problems led me to Piccadilly Circus station, where I ran into a friend I haven't seen for a year EVEN THOUGH he lives practically next door to me :rotfl:
Tomorrow evening I have a choice of three activities, all equally appealing: (1) quiet night in (the cheapest and easiest option, and I get some housework done), (2) go to a Prom (nice concert, early finish, will see my friends, or (3) go to the Great British Beer Festival
Oh, and based on recommendation on a local forum, I have booked myself into a hair salon near work for a cut and colour next Monday - it ain't cheap but I don't care, I haven't had my hair done since my favourite stylist left the salon I used to go to... which was near my old house... which means I haven't had my hair cut for at least NINE MONTHS
Hugs to all, love Rzl xx :wave:Operation Get in Shape

Evening All
Popped back in to say - JackiO - thinking of you tomorrow, chatting up the docs and making the nurses laugh - best wishes.
Apologies - thanks button not working for me again - keep getting flight checker up instead??
Anyway I am so happy...... I have finished my horrible filing yayhay!!! Will never ever let it build up like that again. Mind you apart from cooking dinner and putting away the tesco shop have done nothing else.
Tomorrow am off shopping with DD - will be treating myself to a lunch and some posh coffee - I will deserve it she is a nightmare shopper.
Off now for a little surf and an early night.0 -
Good evening!
I just knew today was not going to go anywhere, and I've just lost a long post, so here goes again.
JackieO, I'm probably too late, but sending lots of luck, positive vibes, and prayers your way. Will be thinking of you tomorrow. Look forward to hearing from you as soon as you are able:D Not too much flirting with the dishy young Doctors;)
My day became evermore frustrating. Hands up all those people with hot water! That's right Churchmouse, keep your hands in your pockets!!! :rotfl: I'm told I will have hot water tomorrow. Yeah right, I'll believe that when it happens. I'm now getting used to cold showers, which is scary to say the least! But I had to boil saucepans and kettles to wash my hair, just couldn't face doing that in cold water:rotfl:
Off for a little look round, night night,

Hello everyone
JackieO, like all your friends here I too will be thinking of you tomorrow. Unfortunately I'll be at w*rk all day, but will light a candle in the evening for you. This time tomorrow the op will be over and done with and you will be on the road to recovery. Take care.
Thanks to SusanUK for the advice from yesterday - I've been to the vet and purchased a Feliway diffuser (£11:eek::eek: - was I robbed??) and it's in place downstairs now. The leaflet says to allow at least a week but up to a month for any obvious effects. I was anticipating five minutes, ten minutes tops, to see Teddy do a big welcome sausage rollover at Petal. He's still got the hump, but gets over himself when I put Petal's food out and he comes and steals some. Little Petal is curled up beside my laptop having a snooze now.
And who mentioned neighbours... Grrr, my opposite neighbours really get on my nerves! There are so many people coming and going with their cars, outside conversations etc etc. They happened to be away Sunday, Monday and Tuesday (when I was off w*rk) and it was blissfully quiet. I suppose they aren't that bad really, I just find them disruptive. I feel sorry for people who have really awful neighbours.
Churchmouse, couldn't you nip to the gym and have a shower and wash your hair there? You could even do some exercise while you're at it..??
Shez, yum, green hairy bread, or rather a slice of green hairy bread with a bite taken out of it....hehe:rotfl: Not as bad as boiled sheeps head, fried pigs trotters and what have you that Quaser is going to have us eating.
That's all from me, good night all.

Snowy
Snowy, I've been going to the gym, but it tells you something about their showers when i say I've still come home and had a cold one, rather than use theirs with hot water:rotfl: :rotfl:You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
Done 11 hour at the office today, so rewarding myself with a small glass of red
Jackie O, best wishes for tomorrow - I'll be lighting my very best smelly candle for you. Look forward to having you back.
Churchmouse, would you like to come ooooop north and have a wash at mine? I'll take the coal out of the bath first
Pink, great to see you back. Take care of yourself.
Just been chasing the chooks around their pen trying to get them to go to bed. As quickly as I put them into the house, they'd hop out again. I'm sure I heard them gigglingLeft them until it was getting dusky, to find they'd all hopped inside themselves. Kids, eh
